Yeah, but she made some really weird choices with the cover. Like, clearly it's supposed to be a ballad of some sort, and that didn't really translate well with her vocals. Also, it seems she took the lyrics and took them a bit...literal. LOL

The thing I love about your voice is how honest you sound. The key you did this in(a minor) suits your voice very well. Just work on not straining your voice so much, because you can really damage your voice by straining it to hit notes your not comfortable with.

Guys you seriously need to stop bashing on Miley. Everyone keeps saying 'I hated the song until Chester sang it' well, Miley is very talented- he wouldn't cover it if he didn't like the song. That song was so emotional for her- watch the directors cut of the video. you can literally see the pain shes in. Chester did amazing- I have been watching him for YEARS now. But this is Mileys song- you should respect it.

If I'm allowed to make a constructive criticism: Your voice has a good color to it. It has a feeling and I can tell with my eyes closed that you love singing and the entire piece and your performance is good overall. But, many other singers, we each have our specialty and your's, in my opinion, is the lower notes. When you strained your vocal chords to do the stronger words sung in this song ("wrecking ball" "break your walls" etc'), it's either you're not cut out for that sort of singing, or the recording equipment you're using malfunctioned each and every time you sang those parts. I love your singing, but your voice is amazing on the less strained, quieter parts of songs. Keep at it, Chester :)

I actually deal and make music for a living so I know a thing or two about that and I like Chester's music, but these parts sounds unnatural with his voice so I gave what I believe to be a tip to make what's good, better. You like those parts, good for you. Everyone has something they like. I like entire piece, but if he'll change those parts I have mentioned, it would not only be good, it'll be great. You are one of those people who can't tell the difference between constructive criticism and trolling. You like an ENTIRE song and whoever does not like the entire song, is a troll to you. great cover and amazing voice:) but a little sad in my opinion is that almost every most viewed or highest rated cover on youtube is recorded and not live... of course quality is better but i like it more authentic when it's really live ;) i've got a lot live-covers on my channel for example ;)

I heard Miley sing this and liked the song, but I just don't really like her voice so I looked for covers. Almost everyone I looked at was better than the original, in my opinion. No offense to Miley. In that way, she's kind of like Madonna - known for her performing not her vocals.

I've actually found the song's biggest problem is Miley herself, the removal of which actually creates a decent song. But yeah, this guy makes the song go from good to great. ^_^
