I’ve seen it quite a bit . White women have don’t it to me where the focus is sleeping w you cause you’re Latino .. or some want to make liking/sleeping with non-white men their whole personality trait and claims they “can’t be racist”. It’s fine to have a preference, but when it’s all about fetishizing .. then there’s the problem . Men of course do this
@@monikdarcy1614 she is being racist though. They're in mexico speaking spanish. It's literally her own fault. And its okay to speak spanish if it doesnt involve anyone else except the person you're talking to. My boyfriends family does this and they switch to english when talking about or to me. Does not offend me at all.
@@teratsukielizabeth543 No, most foreigners consider it rude to speak a different language infront of someone else who obviously doesnt speak it when you can speak english, my mom speaks english whenever theres an american around us even if they are not part of our conversation. It's just a nice thing to do. I'm an asshole so I speak our main language anyways, but it's an asshole thing to do and I admit it. A similarity is like someone whispering in front of you and then laughing. It feels the same way to the person who doesn't understand what you said.
So funny that disco mommy is mad about them speaking spanish while they're in mexico. She was about to tell them to "Speak American, because we're in America." But then remembered they were actually in a native spanish speaking country
@@Naptosis oh yeah it's a thing that undereducated people can very easily be led to believe. That said, it's also used as a joke term to make fun of the exact kinds of people who would actually use it. The speak americanish girl turned out to be a phenomenal parody, but for every parody there's probably two to three real instances would be my guess
I kinda like Ryan, because he knew he could have taken advantage of Kelle that first night and he didn't. He just made sure her drunk tail was safe in her room. He even dropped her off twice🤣😂
Gabriel is a mood. Like, I'm sure he's a horrible and obnoxious person to be around, but the fit and the attitude are such an amazing contrast to everyone else. Every reality show needs a Gabriel.
@@ThatGirlJD I like Ryan also. It's nice to see a young man think of others and not use the wrong brain..lol. But he is 30 yrs old, and the contrast in maturity is profound.
I'll never get over how weird this is. It's a visceral feeling in your chest when you see something truly disgusting but normally goes away after the initial shock, the entire time I'm watching this I have that feeling and it doesn't go away. I was a little weirded out when it was just supposed to be milfs and boys but knowing it's their parents is beyond, like far beyond, insane to me. People use trauma as a buzzword nowadays but my almighty lord in heaven could not think of a more traumatizing experience for these boys. I mean I'm here for it, but ya'know, it's a little gross.
"I think the secrets will cause some drama, because people will use it to judge character" bruh you're on an intergenerational dating show with your mom, literally none of you could judge anyone for anything ever
I can somewhat agree with the whole speak the majority rule, since I switch between Spanish and English all the time (I’m Mexican-Salvadoran), but the way they went about it was so rude and ignorant. Especially since they’re in Mexico!! If I’m going to speak with my latino friends in Spanish, it’s almost never to speak ill of someone else, it could be because we prefer our humor in that language or don’t have to worry of translating things all the time. Some of them also need things explained in Spanish so they can understand it better. Overall I understand the sentiment, but it just depends on how you approach and communicate it.
I speak english 99.9% of the time, but every now and then ill speak with my mum in our home tongue. Not even all the time, but there are sayings or jokes we have that arent in english. Its just a habit.
A few things here make it a little weird. It's a 3way group, instead of just a mom and son. So it's less of a "we're just talking this language, because we always do it and we're comfy with each other" and instead immediately bands people together. Which would ordinarily be great, but this is sort of a competition kinda show. Secondly the majority thing just kinda makes sense. You'd want the people around to understand and if you didn't want that, you wouldn't go kid mode and "speak in code", you'd just remove yourself and plot in a secluded place. Lastly, they were fucking loud. If you're having normal conversations it barely even matters which language you speak, because if you're on the other side of the room, I'm not gonna hear shit anyways. But if you loudly yell, then it's gonna be very apparent and it's extremely human to be curious. You'd want to know what elicits such a loud and animated reaction and at the same time it's likely so pointless and disconnected a thing, that you can't actually go over and insert yourself into the conversation. Much less so, because you'd disrupt them and then they'd be "forced" to swap languages to explain. I see it like Twitch stuff. Chat's in English if the streamer's speaking English. Doesn't fucking matter if you speak another language the streamer also knows or if you're talking to someone else in chat with the same background. You speak in English to be easily understood by everyone. Them being in Mexico doesn't matter in the fucking slightest, btw. No clue why that's even brought up. You're US peeps recording a US show. You're in a fully English-speaking group, you're not out in the middle of some rural Mexican town talking to the locals. Of course it'll stick out if you sequester yourself in the middle of a party in earshot of everyone and loudly yell in Spanish.
"speaking Spanish, yanno in their little group is definitely making everyone feel uncomfortable" Then says "go somewhere else"... somewhere other than Mexico I guess.
working in a place where most of my co-workers spoke spanish, i never felt excluded just because i couldn't understand their conversations with each other. kelle seems to just be bothered by not being involved in the conversation.
Gunner saying joey is only 20 and drinking with them makes me laugh, because that is a completely normal thing to a 20 year old to do in my country. Tho they can have guns there at that age while in my country only after 25, so we are on a stalemate. Besides that stuff about the Kelle dont liking them speaking spanish, that is stuff any inmigrant does on any country when they wanna have a private conversation.
I don't think it's Alex's even about having a private conversation. If you're speaking your first language you don't have to think about it, it's natural.
My husband speaks spainsh first and English 2nd. But he always translate for me if everyone's speaking Spanish and I'm learning it slowly lol 🤣 but I was never bothered by it
i don’t get bothered when i get the translation after, i do get bothered however when i’m left out of conversations even though we went out together as a group. i have a lot of spanish speaking friends and sometimes they seem to forget that i’m not good at spanish (i’m learning currently but it’s difficult to follow whole conversations) and it happens every now and then that i just sit there for half an hour trying to follow along but being unable to and no one translates for me so it’s almost like i’m being ignored. in this situation i do think it’s a little different though cause they didn’t deliberately go out together and left someone out, they where sitting away from the others talking amongst themselves. they are very much allowed to do that. it can get a little annoying if they do it ALL the time and don’t mingle with the others at all, but to my knowledge they’re not even doing that. so she’s definitely in the wrong here. she’s just pressed that she’s not the center of attention anymore and can’t push herself into the conversation.
Damn, the chat and comments are eye-opening. Some people truly are wired to look for anything to get offended by to instantly consider "go somewhere else" as "leave this country" as opposed to "leave this public place and speak in a more private place about what private things you want to speak about that you don't want the rest (bigger part) of the public to hear by switching language", as I did... And yeah, thanks for the voice of reason, Gunnar. As a trilingual person, "you speak the majority" is the polite rule for me as well, no matter which country you're in.
Look, I want ppl to find romantic love in their 50's,60's etc. But this is not it. I think I'd be a little bit more comfortable if their son's weren't on the show with them!
It's not wrong to speak another language, EVEN if the majority doesn't speak it period. The conversation is hardly ever about you we just like not having to put it through a translations in our own head.
@@candiegray4037 no, im from israel, and i got the same shit for talking russian with my russian friends. in hospitals once they even put a sign asking workers there not to speak russian.
You had better watch the third episode because I refuse to watch it deliberately on my own. At least if the community watches it I don't feel as icky lol.
I'm an older woman, and this creeps me out! It's just wrong, but being 'normal' doesn't sell as well. I wouldn't share any of my sexual exploits with my son, and he's much older than these guys(and the fact that I don't have any, lol). From what I see, these women don't respect themselves. They really need to work on what they're missing, that causes them to behave like that. I've always said that men spend 9 months waiting to get out, and the rest of their lives trying to get back in!
It's not wrong to speak your native language no matter where you are and who you are with. Let's say you learned German in high school so you visit Germany, if you run into a Canadian or American you would most likely speak English. Telling people they can't speak their language because they are the minotity is a form of racism.. and you can't use the excuse that you have a Mexican friend who agrees that it's not wrong because they don't represent the majority. I love your channel and you are hilarious.. so as Cody ko would stay "racism.. knock it off"..:)
You know they did say that the show gave them all cell phones at the very least we know they have ability to text each other Why the hell doesn't she just turn on voice to text and have it record what they're saying and then hit the translate button It wouldn't be that hard to figure out what they were saying I know because I have used this method multiple times on my neighbor
Ok even if you're a younger dude attracted to older women, or older woman attracted to younger men... How the HELL could you ever get cozy in the same crowd with your own kid's friends and their moms?!?! WTF? This is like a modern Jerry Springer reality show. 😬😬😬 I get being in a situation you might be attracted to someone older or younger... But to have the whole process documented and see your kid with another adult. 🤮🤮🤮 They are all acting like it's chill and cool. I'm a single mom and close to my kids but ick vibes are abundant with this one. I'd be giving these predator women laxatives or something before I let them near my kids.
Yo Gunnar, I was talking to my colleagues about this episode and your stream and my mate said the show is shot in Mexico so Joey can actually drink. Which makes sense because I don't think there's many countries where the legal drinking age is as ridiculously high as it is in the land of the free* *terms and conditions apply
@@lmaorxenix7329 I was making the point of getting sucked into his reviews so I'm stopping what I'm doing. I really don't care if anyone reads it. I'm just making the point that his reactions are worth the distraction. But you have a nice day and enjoy the video as well
and like theyre making the conscious decision to do that, for privacy or comfort or ID or habit or any myriad of reasons, theyve decided to switch languages. so m . so . so why would u . like. ur not part of that convo. and if u wanna be??? then u should learn spanish,,, or ask if u gotta know so bad. i bet u will be so stoked for the translation reveal of "i asked if we had cauliflower at home" bet u wouldve nodded ur head really helpfully in that moment
If people are bilingual and want to speak to one another in another language then they can. If you’re gonna make it about yourself not knowing what they’re saying than it means it’s not for you and if you weren’t meant to hear you wouldn’t. That point is ridiculous to me. The only ones making it weird are the ones kicking up shit over it. I only speak English myself but why are you trying to make yourself a factor in the way people talk? If you wanna know what they’re saying then ask later and if they say they don’t wanna tell you or lie to you about it then you know that person isn’t worth your time.
Exactly... She is just insecure and mad that she can't easedrop their conversation. And the fact that they apologized for it made me so sad. She is probably used to that crap and that's not ok. It is bigger than oh she feels uncomfortable. She might as well be saying hey, your mexican is showing, can you tuck that back in because I'm so insecure. This very topic is brought up by racist politicians to keep them in their "place". To be able to pass laws to keep them illegal. It's awful.
I can understand Kelly being paranoid about Stephany talking sh*t about her in Spanish because Stephany was being passive aggressive to her since her son started to show an interest in Kelly. At the same time you can only control your own actions and at the end if the day not everything is about you. Sometimes you're not gonna be in on the conversation and thats okay, doesn't mean you can turn to racism Kelly just has to accept that
20:04 it has nothing to so with where they’re at and everything to do with the situation. if you speak in group you spek the language everyone understand, thats just politeness. if you have a conversation with someone and want to speak in a language not everyone understands, thats your choice. i think Kelle just assumed that they’re gossiping about the others (couse thats what she would’ve done) forgetting that it is probably easier for them to speake spanish since it’s their first language. also just gonna remind you Americans, spanish is a european country, and many “whites” speak it. not everything in the world is about your skin color, remember that🫰
Coulda sworn ya did this episode already? Or did ya have to repost? I vividly remember this please someone confirm I'm not crazy 😅🤣🤣 Much love chaotic homies
It’s so easy to be like, “what did you just say?” And that’s it. After a while of you asking “what did you say?” They’ll start to talk in English. I do it with guys at work all the time. Or just try to learn spanish? Rosetta Stone is not expensive.
