My Grandma was sick and in the hospital for two weeks a month ago. I stayed with her for most of it, basically lived on the pullout couch in the cancer ward. They said she was in remission, then they said the cancer was back and she had 6 months to live. The next day they said two weeks. They moved her to another ward to die a day later. I played a lot of Deemo during all this. She was on fentanyl and asleep most of the time. I'd usually stay 3 days straight so I had to find something to do in between helping her with small things every couple hours. I got reaaalllly good at the game and your songs were my favorite. Especially Past The Stargazing Season. I played it until I got 99% one handed on Hard. I was playing it minutes before she died. She gained enough consciousness to hold my Mother's hand, look her in the eyes and say "I love you." She fought so hard to swim up out of the dark for that moment of clarity. She left again and then fought back to take my hand, look me in the eyes and say "I love you." Those were her last words, I can't imagine any better. She was unconscious for about 10 hours, unplugged from all those uncomfortable tubes and monitors, dnr signed, goodbyes said and we waited. At Midnight I went out for a cigarette. I sat in an old wheelchair in the parking garage and started another run at Past The Stargazing Season. A minute in a text from my mom popped up in game. "Come Now" I made it back and while I watched her take longer and longer in between breaths your song played in my head on a loop. I know it's a romantic song, but really it's just about love and it fit. I'll never forget it, I heard it when she finally exhaled and........never inhaled. It was so quiet. We stood, attempted to process, cried, tried to speak and swallowed the first word, hugged and started gathering our things. I held my mom around her shoulders and got her in the car. All of that, the hour drive home, the many many futile hours trying to sleep, the whole time the song played in my head like a calming mantra to keep me strong enough to get us home, comfort my mom, plan the funeral and not be overwhelmed just yet. I couldn't afford to until it was all over. You helped me make it and I wanted to tell you. Thank you. I know the money isn't much, I don't have much, but I wanted to send a little.

I just realized this is the same girl in sl0t, in sl0t she learns about the world and interprets it by using colours and towards the end of the song she is rejected or abandoned (something like that where she is left alone) and she is completely distraught by it but in this song (which I think happens later) she accepts the persons departure and accepts that he's gone.
