There was some extra excitement Sunday at the graduation ceremony of a high school in Grand Forks, North Dakota. A military father surprised his daughter and brought the crowd to tears.
Thank you so much for your service. Your daughter giving you that hug was almost to much. I hope that you and your family have many more happy times together.
What an emotional suprise! I really got tears in my eyes (I'm a boy)... she is just a normal girl, he is just a normal man and a soldier for an army, which is the police for the world. This girl is far away from her father, this man is far away from his daughter and his whole family! I'm very happy for them to meet each other at the gradulation of the girl! :) Greets from Germany! :)
What these guys do for us to stay safe in our homes while sacrificing their own personal lives is a debt we can never repay but just to say THANK YOU for keeping America strong
Very grateful for the service, and love to watch these videos. Not so fond of the fatigues at formal events. I have seen enough vids featuring a servicemember in service or dress uniform to know that it is possible, so I wish it was more common.
But whomever that was who INSISTED on verbalizing "He's here," rather than letting Dad do the surprising himself ... bad, selfish person. God bless Dads and daughters.
He says he's missed birthdays and Christmases with her. There will be other birthdays and Christmases but there will never be another high school graduation for her so it's great that he made it happen.
Why is it that the US has more respect for it's serving armed forces than here in the UK? I have been to the US and on every flight, they were allowed on first and treated well? Here, they get used and then are not even helped in the slightest once they leave. Irrespective of whatever country you may serve, I have the utmost of respect for the men and women who choose defend their country.
