Weird.... I don’t know... but SO BEAUTIFUL ! This is what family ties are all about. It comes from within. Blood speaking volumes. Nothing is stronger.
by looking at you picture is appears you are young. When you have a child and raise them into adulthood the chance to build a strong loving bond with that child is very high. When you have that bond and the child is not in your presence for an extended period of time you feel like you are missing a part of you, especially for parents who have children in the military. That is where the joy comes from, because at that moment you are whole again, and you can feel at peace knowing your child is safe from harm and there with you.
My mother was stricken with worry when I left, and remained that way until I was able to call home or write. You say weird, I say natural. When I came home she was her old self again. Not knowing the welfare of someone you love who is off serving in a warzone naturally brings worry. You'll have a better understanding as you get older when realities of life finally hit you.
@@l2kxboost I think you missed the text at the beginning that said that they already knew he was there. Therefore they wouldn't really need to get up if they already had greeted him when he first got to the house.
It made sense to me! I didn't wash my son's sheets for 7 weeks after he left for BMT-I couldn't bring myself to wash away his scent. She lasted longer than I did, which I find amusing.
Dad trying so hard to hold it together. Bless. Being in the British Army I’ve had one or two days like this, it’s a lovely, amazing feeling. Great video. Go well guys.
CUBE Well, a good way of getting an insight is to find a local Army Cadets. It won’t be as physically challenging but it’ll definitely give you a heads up into Army life and if they’re any good there’ll be visits to Regiments or corps associated to the cadets. It also depends what your particular interest in the Army is. If you want to specialise in a trade, or if you have an interest in an infantry role. There are also specialist roles in infantry regiments too. I’ve specialised in signals which is providing communications/telecommunications as well as my main job as an infantry soldier. If you’re struggling to find any information you can always visit your nearest Army careers office which you can find online or in the telephone book, and they’ll happily point you in the right direction. On a side note, there is also The Army Foundation Colleges, it’s a bit like a boarding school, you can further your education once you finish school and receive military training so you get the best of both worlds before you move on to a professional unit. That’ll require the support of your parents because you’re under eighteen but, the Army will keep them fully involved throughout the whole process. Good luck and I hope things work out well for you.
Coldstreamer957 Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to help me, just met an British army infantry soldier and learnt a lot and I will take you up on the cadets idea, thanks a lot sir and for your service.
Anthony, There are so many people in this world - many who may harbor tender, loving feelings for you. If you are kind to people, there is no reason why they should not reciprocate. It's a lot harder to look for love than to be loving. I hope you find that special someone who will fill your life with the blessings you need.. God Bless You, Anthony.
I love this! My husband and Logan actually served together on the ship and I'm glad to call him one of our good friends/brother. We love you, Pod! -Tom and Kate.
John Podpora Hey everybody! Thanks for "joining" us during our special surprise present for mom. This captured moment is a priceless piece of our family's history. Can't believe it's been over five years since this was recorded. Wendy is captured here just being who she is, a funny, warm and amazing person who is loved by all of us who are lucky enough to know her. After numerous deployments around the world, including the last 8 months of his enlistment spent in the Persian Gulf region, Logan's enlistment term ended and he left the Navy a few months ago. After a scenic road trip across the USA, he is now safely back home with us in the Great Pacific Northwest. Ironically, his twin brother, aka, "he deserted", is now serving in the US Air Force. Perhaps there will be an, "Airman's surprise visit on Mom's 56th birthday..." video in the future. I have enjoyed reading most of the comments you have submitted over the years. Some were quite moving. It is heart-warming to me that there are so many good people across this currently troubled world of ours that can be brought together to feel and appreciate a simple, (yet entertaining ;)), demonstration of one of the great universal truths of life: the simple joy of a mothers love can't be beat. Blessings to you all, John PS- I am wrestling with the decision to take this down soon, so it may disappear from public view.
Greetings to your family from Germany 🇩🇪 I’ll join boot camp in 2 weeks I’m very nervous especially when I’m thinking about the time with out my family! I wish you all the best !
Please keep it up. People like me who have been dealing with depression and dealing with all the friends and family we lost need videos like this. You have an amazing family. Glad everyone is ok.
John: You folks may have a good reason to want to take down the vid, one which we're not aware of. In general, I'd love to see it stay up because, as others have said, the family happiness here makes others feel good, too.
6:35 -6:65 That scream, that crying, the "I had a feeling", and that love....is what make mom's the powerhouses of our families!!! Somewhere along the line we associated that with some sort of weakness. It's just the opposite. That is power and force you don't want to screw with!!!! Great moment and thank you for your service young man!
I love *All* service men and women... But I REALLY *LOVE* you and you and your family for doing this... I really loved seeing this today❤❤❤ Thank you and your family for your service!😊
Seeing the mom’s joy and happiness alongside Logan’s brothers and little sister embracing each other, is so sweet. This is the definition of family and pure love. 💕
THIS VIDEO IS ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS & BEAUTIFUL ALL IN ONE. WHAT A FANTASTIC SURPRISE FOR MOM'S 50TH!!!! THIS IS WHAT FAMILY IS ALL ABOUT. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR MOM 😉👍
Diane Williams Watch the video of the little cheerleader girl (age 7) who was cheering at a football game, was sad and teary-eyed because her dad's in the military and she hadn't seen him in almost a year. She's looking down at the ground when she hears her dads' name over the loudspeaker....One of the best (sweetest) "military dad surprise" *ever* . :-)
Great video and it looks like you have a wonderful family. Thank your son for his service please. My sons in Air Force basic training in TX, we live in GA, he graduates Sep 29 but I cant get out there for that. I wont get to see him till after he finishes his MOS training some time in Jan or Feb when he might get a 2 week leave. This video just really brought that home to me AGAIN.
I love how she points out that she feels like her Son "connor" cuz he always couldn't find anything too, and then she finds HIM sitting in the back of the room waiting to be seen and she starts crying its so wholesome
True mothers love sons and daughters the same but for some reason a mothers love for her son is so deep you can tell when she does and doesn’t love a child .
Mom: great kids don't come out of the womb that way!! Clearly these are parents who have got parenting down!! The love in this video send shivers down your spine!!! Thank you for sharing, and giving the rest of the world a sneak peek at what love and support of a FAMILY should look like!!!! xoxo!
She reminds me so much of my mother! I'm currently on a 9 month rotation to Korea and I've been here for two weeks. Watched this video and it made me start to tear up when your mother started crying. There's nothing quite like a mother's love! From one service member to another thank you for your service!
This is one of my all time favorites! It's the very best reaction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday and welcome home sir! Thank you for your service and thank you Mom and Dad and Family too for your son!

Beautiful loving family moment. Thank you for sharing.
I love this lady and her beauty and charm have captivated me like no one has ever done before in my life. I don't even know your first name, but Mrs Podpora....you are a superstar!
This is a reminder that (thankfully) not all servicemen/women give their lives for their country but all give up their home, holidays, special occasions with their families, etc ... Thank you to all that serve and have served! 🇺🇸
There is no better gift for a mother, father, brother, or sister to receive. Her reaction when she saw him immediately brought me to tears.I am pulling and praying for every single family to have their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, mothers, father's ,and friends back home safely who are in the military, or just wherever your loved ones are at this very moment. We pray that they all, each and everyone them gets home safely.
Am I the only one making a heart over my phone with my hands, as I saw Logan hugging his mom & sis crying in his arms, plus him reunited with his dogs? How cute is this family? The rest of the family went from laughing at the mother puzzled trying to find her human birthday present, to crying as soon as the mom & sister hugged Logan. God bless Logan & his family. ❤️
3 Brothers, "Hey dipshit" back slaps, Sister and Mum, tears and hugs. Perfect. Hope your boy is doing well and enjoying his service. Hope your family are all well. Thanks for giving me the old lump in the throat!
That was awesome, my son surprised his mom right before Christmas on leave from A school. Thank to your son for his service and your family for the support of all our Sailors. HOOYAH Navy!
This is such a precious video. I totally felt the mother's love and all the family. I couldn't help but to get emotional and get teary-eyed. I am a mother of three two sons and one daughter. Who also served in the Navy. May God bless our military and their families 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🙏. Thanks for sharing

It just breaks your heart every time you see these young brave soldiers leave their families to fight the evil in the World, and everyday you've got low life , non productive citizens involves in gangs, drugs, and doing crimes on the streets. Thank you to all brave soldiers of the World for fighting for us….from the Philippines, I salute you guys !
