In this video I go over the simple easy to follow steps on how to cut a military style high and tight fade haircut. This video is in real time for educational purposes. The tools I used: Andis Masters clipper, Andis T Outliner Trimmer & Andis Detachable Clipper with Oster and Babyliss Blades. Being in the Marines we all got high bald fades. The base barbers never asked they just did it. and that was back in the 70's before they were popular.

You do good work man ain't too many white barbers where I'm from so when you do see one most of them don't know how to do this much respect I've had cornrows most of my life but when I don't have cornrows this is how my hair is done. I don't know in Philadelphia not too many people outside of the barber shop know how to cut hair. Great work man.

In the British Army as recruits our camp barbers who were old school used hardly any clippers and were brilliant at scissors work. We had German barbers on camp in Baor who were the same, brilliant old blokes.

The only part I'm having trouble with is that line that u do that goes around the head when cutting my own hair. I've tried so many times doing fades on myself but always end up shaving it all after every attempt. Might just buy the template guide to make it easier. But anyway, great job. Best video I've seen on how to do fades.. specially for beginners who might get confused on which guard to use or if it needs to be open or close.👍✌️

Thank you! When I started cutting my own hair I had 2 techniques. 1 was fading down vs up this way not needing to do any guide lines and 2 using a rubber band on my head to set the first line perfectly 😅

It's a preference thing how high you want it but a hight fade is usually just no C cup
