I grew up in a cult, so I’ve experienced blind obedience to these techniques. Now that I’m free I could listen to Chase for hours and constantly learn something new. I had an ahah moment at the end-talking about creating confusion to engender compliance. I think this is how word salad works.

Chase is a unique individual because he has amazing sensitivity, insight, intelligence, life experience and is extremely humble and kind hearted. I look at a quote said to Chase every day. "If someone else talked to you the way you talk to yourself, you'd knock their teeth out". I'm kind of hard on myself, and it reminds me to give myself a break.

When Chase talked about needs and fears and not being able to completely overcome them it reminded me of steps 6 and 7 of the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (of which I’m a part.) Chase really hit on a universal truth I’ve found in trying to work spiritually in my AA program and in therapy; progress not perfection.

So, finding your needs is great but I would like to point people to the work that a student of Maslow has done. Steve Andreas studied under Maslow. Steve Andreas created what is called the self-concept model. This model creates in a person a framework for working on insecurities and at the same time creates a deeper ability to connect. This is a feed forward model that creates a learning framework that makes people more sensitive to feedback in a resourceful way. Sadly, Steve died. Damon Cart is teaching people this model though.

If Milgram's experiment intrigues you, check out the Prisoner/Guard experiments by Philip Zimbardo at Stanford. But be aware that no human subjects committee would approve either of those study designs today. We decided these types of studies are not ethical because of the harm done to the subjects. How would you feel about yourself if you agreed to 'murder' someone in another room with electrical shocks? Yeah, there were repercussions.

Very interesting content. I am in total agreement with Hughes that anyone who seeks to be a genuine "influencer" first needs to exude self-possession (although I now detest the word "influencer," but for lack of a better word.), and others pick up on that individual's confidence. It's almost a cliche in literature: "He was in an EXPANSIVE mood after his great success that evening...." Almost like success makes bloom bigger into the world around us. Good stuff.

I learned something about myself. I came up with the difference between not thinking and realizing what I wasn’t thinking about, so I didn’t need to be implanted with the next message. (Not thinking is not thinking, realizing what you weren’t thinking about is a lesson for next time). so what do you make of me and my thought patterns?

How does overcoming phobias and addictions play into your technics when working with people , individually or corporate( big groups or companies)? I would love to control my weakness for shopping( but I do love it). I shop a lot but usually return the items, so it’s the shopping, not the spending.Help!

This guy is awesome. I wish ‘The Behaviour Panel’ would analyse Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s body language. Whilst the Markles would make uncomfortable viewing, it would really catapult these guys out there. The two videos on Prince Andrew is up there with some of the most stimulating viewing I have ever seen.
