Enjoy the milky way galaxy rising in the early pre-dawn hours at Island Beach State Park. Our Milky Way Galaxy core’s light takes about 26,000 years to travel through space and reach the Earth…so the light you are seeing here took that long to get here. When the last ice age was at its peak this light started its journey to reach you through this video 📸.

By trying to comprehend and appreciate what we are observing, looking at your beautiful time-lapse, our souls should shutter and the feeling of being infinitely small should overwhelm our thoughts. What a remarkable view of a phenomenal expansion of time and space, even though the Milky Way is but a blip or a dot on the incomprehensible expanse of the visible universe’s canvas.

Yes… i wish i could see by my naked eyes such a sky one day……!! I am living in a town too big with too much light, rare to see only one star……!!! Though i am so fascinating by cosmos, stars, planet and nebula ………i think when you see that, actually, there’s no words …… just feel the incredible magical of this world and enjoy ……😌 and be grateful

Hi. There are ways to overcome the light pollution in New Jersey. It’s not everywhere and using the light pollution maps will guide you to Right places and times. I’ll be releasing something special on RU-vid this week! It will show you everything that is possible and more in NJ!

Hi sure. Try using an app called PhotoPills it will help you locate the time and location of the Milky Way. Also you need to make sure that you are in a very dark area with low light pollution. There’s a number of apps out there to help with that including one called Dark Sky!

Also to put this in context you can only see this typically between March and September of every year it’s only visible for about one week out of each month during the new moon and you have to have perfect weather and also low light pollution as well. Also early in the season like now you can only see it starting at about one to 2 AM so a lot of things need to line up

You can see it with naked eye. I did but it had to be perfect conditions…new moon with low humidity usually on very cold night.
