We have booked a trip for October. All I’ve talked about is getting to Miller’s for some great seafood. But after viewing your video, not sure we’ll be going. I do love the flounder there and have always enjoyed those hush puppies but sorta rethinking the visit. I know with inflation everything has gone up but the prices did seem a little too high for my pocketbook. I’m inclined to agree with you David. Think going to the Captain is a better choice. Thanks for sharing.

We enjoyed the seafood at Miller's. I was surprised at how good the fried flounder tasted. Prices have definitely gone up in stores and restaurants. David has said for a long time that Captain George is not as high as people think because of the price of seafood in traditional restaurants.

Everything looked delicious. These days, it's sometimes difficult to find a venue that serves really fresh seafood. Yes, the prices were very steep, so I would consider this meal a special treat. 😊

Hello vafunseekers! Thanks for your enjoyable reviews. Very entertaining and honest. I believe you should have gotten a complimentary basket of hot breads and rolls ( With Butter)when you were seated. I believe in getting the "Best Bang For Your Buck!", too. All the Best to You!

Seafood prices are ridiculously high now. I saw 1.5 lb. of crab legs for $20 at Walmart. I can't pay it, so I do without 😢. Those steamed shrimp sure looked magnificent!😊❤

It is ridiculous that seafood as well as all food has increased so much. Lots of people have to do without many things. Unfortunately, some things are necessities that they do without, such as medicine. But the shrimp wer3 excellente! ❤

I was told, at Applebee’s the coleslaw was a garnish not a side when I wanted to get green beans instead. Really enjoy your videos and their wholesome content.

Hey Guys we have had the Shrimp and Scallops there and it was really good! Also we have been there for the Breakfast and you can't go wrong with that too!! It was 5 of us and not a complaint from even one person!!!

Like the clam chowder I knew right from the beginning that Carly got that steamed shrimp, kinda looks like Granny Bee's and if it was anything like theirs then I bet they were delicious! Your flounder looked like some good eating, I never had Scallops believe it or not but I'll have to take David's word on that and give em a try! And looking at the hush puppies I could tell they were somewhat sweet as they had the powdered sugar sprinkled in them, kinda reminds me of the fritters from The Old Mill! Sorry about y'all's experience on the potatoes! And that roll I knew would have been tough as it looked like a French baguette instead of a roll! Thank y'all Funseekers for sharing, y'all are indeed rockstars!

We all enjoy steamed shrimp. I've not had the steamed shrimp from Granny Bee's. I usually get chicken or a hamburger there. The flounder was some of the best fried flounder that I have had. Sometimes when you get an item fried it loses it's taste and just tastes fried. But this was very tasty! I've never tried scallops but David sure does enjoy them. I like the fritters at The Old Mill but the apple fritters at the Applewood Restaurant are my favorite. Thanks for all your support Bradley!

at 6:43 mins.. a cool tip, that i figured out on my own, (as i dont like potato skins in my mashed taters) is to smush your fork down and lift up… it leaves the skins behind. 😊

Sam and Omie's is also on our list. That's one of David's favorites. This is th first time we have been to Nags Heads in years. David grew up going there every year. We stayed at Surf Side Hotel in Nags Head and did a review of the hotel too. We can't wait to get back to the Outer Banks. Thanks for watching!

The seafood itself looked fantastic, but the sides did seem to be lacking enthusiasm! Never heard of rolls or any bread being offered as a side dish, any restaurant I've ever went to made that available as complimentary before your meal. Carly's shrimp was on fire, that steam coming off them was unreal, no reason the sides can't come hot 🔥 Cindy that piece of cod was both huge and looked great. and that shrimp was a perfect compliment to your fish. David's scallops very eye catching, and they didn't scimp on them either. Very nice restaurant to have a nice sit down dinner, but I do think the prices were a tad high, and I usually don't comment on prices 😅 PS I do think the hush puppies did look hard,looked like a dessert with powdered sugar ! I guess I'm being too picky. God Bless 🇺🇸🙏

Miller's does a great job with the seafood. We were all pleased with the entrees. We felt the taste was outstanding and the portion sizes of the seafood was very generous. This is a popular restaurant in the area. We were surprised to see a roll listed as a side. As you know we go to lots of restaurants. Overall it was a good experience and we enjoyed the seafood, which is what we went for in the first place. Thanks so much for your continued support!

Captain George's for the win. Good sides can take away some of the sting of a high price. A 3 dollar roll is not a good side, it's not a side period. That being said team Carly was the winner tonight. God Bless and safe travels.

We visit the Harbor Inn in Lynchburg often. They always have great tasting seafood at reasonable prices. We always get the 2 can dine special. Great suggestion!

Saw several temptations on the menu. But... $3.00 for a roll? And listing it as a side? That reeks of cheap! All told, I agree that Captain George's looks like a much better deal. Especially if you like crab legs. Good video. God Bless!

Panera. Bread Co. has a piece of bread as a side with soup or when you order a sandwich. Their sides is piece of bread or an apple it weird to me . They are a chain restaurant in The south. They base their menu around heathly options Their crusty bread is hard as a brick

I’m familiar with Panera but didn’t realize bread was a side there. I know people love their soups. I was looking at a menu last night of a restaurant we might visit and noticed that you could buy an extra roll for $1.00. That’s how I’m used to seeing it on a menu as an extra. Of course you have the restaurants that bring you a basket when you are seated. 😀🥐.Have a great day!

Another review we did he got a variety platter and the scallops were so good, he said he should have just gotten scallops. So he decided to just do scallops for this meal and he was glad he did. I must admit that I get tickled every time I see the name "Kill Devil Hills"😄 (There's interesting origins of the name found via Google.) To answer your question, I have never heard of a roll as a side dish, either. I've also never seen white powder on hushpuppies. Was that powdered sugar? 🤔 Great review! And a fun watch. I think at Miller's price level that expecting those sides to be top notch is reasonable. But, oh that seafood looked fabulous! I had to Google and see about the name It gave several scenarios of how Kill Devil Hills might have been named. I love stuff like this! Yes, it was powdered sugar on the hushpuppies. Maybe they are going for a funnel cake vibe They definitely to look at the sides to get the to the same level as the seafood, which was excellent. I gave David that shirt for Christmas.
