Here is a easy, nutritious and delicious sorghum (jowar) bread recipe for all my lovely viewers. Yes you can skip adding seeds. Please share you feedback here 👇🙏❤
@@poonamtalwar7781 Its very unlikely to happen. I could think of 2 reasons: 1. Old millet flour 2. New to millets Sometimes with old millet flour this can happen.
Hi @tanujabaljekar5763 i have the same question as @psbbbbbbb Did the bread come out the same? I too wanna avoid adding corn starch/potato starch to keep it healthier. Thanks
That’s good to know 😃 Any starch will work and sometimes quality of starch makes the final outcome better or worse. Final outcome largely depends on the quality of ingredients.
Tried your recipe today. I wish i could post a picture! The bread turned out amazing...my 2 yo is on a very strict diet and he could only eat specific grains...im so happy that this recipe turned out great!
I am so glad that this turned out helpful for you. Thanks for trying it out and sharing your feedback. You can post a picture on my Instagram and tag me.
Thanks so much for Sharing this recipe and I must try as I am on Gluten Free and dairy free free diet , God bless you always blessings from NewZealand 🙏❤️😇💐🇳🇿
Thank you for sharing this recipe❤ I tried this bread today, it tasted very nice, it got baked well too, the side slices and too was very well baked.. I did the toothpick test and also tapped to heat hollow sound.. but the centre of the bread was wet after 5 hours of cooling down and cutting slices Why so ? Where did I go wrong ?
As I said in the video any seeds like sesame, chia, melon seeds, or you can avoid adding seeds. This bread will come out great without seeds too. Thanks
Both psyllium husk and flaxseed helps in binding the gluten-free dough. You can replace it but the bread will rise little less compared to this recipe.
@@BroccoliShockleyCAN'T FIND THE WRITTEN RECIPE FOR THIS BREAD IN YOUR PAGE NOR IN THE DESCRIPTION HERE.🤔🤷🏼♀️COULD YOU PLEASE ADD IT TO THE DESCRIPTION? THX. 🌺☮️💟🌺
I am trying this recpie with a mix of finger millet and red sorghum, potato starch, & flaxseed. I found i needed less water about 1/2 cup less. I havent cooked it yet. Still waiting for the rising stage to finish. I am wondering if next time I could add baking powder or lemonade to the mix for a little more fluff and rise? What are tour thoughts? Will update once cooked.
Please follow the exact recipe then only it will work. I have tried and tested so many times beforehand so this is the way to get perfect results. (Less water because you aren’t adding psyllium husk)
. my experience. I changed to psyllium husk. It is a game changer! Works beautifully. The bread recipe is great. Do you have a recpie for a bigger loaf? I have tweeking and trying some flours like Teff flour, Ragi millet, and red sorghum. These 3 combined make a nice bread for us, as I have heaps of unused Teff flour in my pantry. Also I have a little trick I recently learnt to get a nice shape bread. Lay down some baking paper. After mixing dough, roll or push it out to a rectangle. (I use a low edge pan to get the right size). Then roll up the dough rub the edges and ends closed. Pat the ends to flatten a little more. Place into the bread tin to rise
Unfortunately none. Millets have different texture and taste. They are naturally gluten-free. I like millet bread better than the white one. This bread toasts perfectly and taste 😊
This recipe works with gluten-free flours but I am not sure if it will work with wheat or not. I have posted many other bread recipes that will work with wheat flour too. You can try them and psyllium husk is not required in wheat bread.

In this recipe it will not work like that. For now you can try my sourdough bread, that is without baking soda and yeast. I will post more recipes without yeast. Thanks
GREAT! I HAVE SORGUM FLOURAND NEVER SAW A RECIPE FOR IT. I WANT TO MAKE IT. BUT WHERE IS THE WRITTEN RECIPE? IT'S NOT EASY TO GO BACK ON FORTH ON A VIDEO TO LISTEN TO THE AMOUNTS NEEDED.🤔 THANKS. 🌺☮️💟🌺
What millet is this exactly? I have foxtail, little and barnyard milket grains with me which one to use. How do u make a flour? Soak sundry and powder?
Per slice it will be less than a spoon starch and if your diet doesn’t allow you to eat a spoon of starch then you need to rethink. Millets also have lots of carbohydrates in them. Starch can be replaced with eggs.
Yes, as I mentioned in the video these seeds can be substituted by any seeds like sesame, flaxseeds, melon seeds etc. You can also add chia seeds in similar way.
I tried this bread today, but it was sticky from inside. My yeast was extremely good but it didn’t rise much. I baked in oven after 1.5 hrs n baked for 50-60mins as I felt it was sticky inside. Kept it in oven n covered it too but it came out sticky but outside it was done. Where did I go wrong.
Hi, i tried this recipe today. I replaced potato starch to corn starch. I used chia seeds . It was fine till i baked it but when i put it to cool down it shrink back and became dense. Can you tell me why this happened ?
Tried this bread using rice flour instead of starch. Bread didn't rise at all and was very dense, though I used freshly bought yeast. Nice flavour, however. Have you tried this bread using only jowar flour , without starch/flour
@@tanujabaljekar5763 check your yeast. Add psyllium husk little more and rice flour is okay. I bake it often same way. Did your bread proofed well before baking?? Was the yeast proofed nicely before adding the flour??
That could be because of old millet, or baking soda. The best way to avoid that is to add some aromatic seasoning in the dough. I add rosemary, oregano, or Indian spices like curry leaves etc. It’s gives very nice aroma to the bread.
You can try this recipe or same dough with following recipes time and temperature Vegan Gluten free Dinner Rolls | Millet Pav Buns ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-onFROufj_-0.html
looks good but pls POST THE RECIPE in the description!! rather frustrating having to play the vid at slow speed in order to write down all the ingredients. annoying
Bread made with baker's yeast is gluten-free so long as the other ingredients used are also gluten-free. Many gluten-free breads are made with yeast and are safe for people with celiac disease to eat.
Hi, i tried this bread after your guidance. I used kodu millet. This time it did come out well, its little salty though 🫣😅.. but i got the consistency.. how to store this bread?
That’s good to hear. Add less salt next time 😅 I store it in a zip log bag in the refrigerator up 5-6 days. It freezes well but I bake my breads weekly so no need to freeze.
I tried this bread, I got the consistency but there was a fermented (like when we ferment the curd) taste and smell in the bread. Also I used the instant yeast, so can I mix the instant yeast directly with the dry ingredients??
