I desperately need to see what Wally Wackford gets up to in his day-to-day day. What is that funky little man doin? How does he juggle all these businesses? Are there secretly more than one Wally Wackford? A Wally Wackford army?
I would really enjoy Blitzø and Loona in a domestic setting. For example: at breakfast, coming home or getting ready to go to I.M.P. The only interactions we have of them are with other people or brief emotional moments. I would really love to just see them on their own and talking about each other's day. Another reason why it would be nice is the opportunity to observe differences between Stolas and Octavia in Episode Two. Maybe the two angsty daughters would parallel or be completely different. Perhaps their father-daughter relationships would have fallen or grown closer together.
Honestly these shorts gave me something I desperately wanted from ANY media. Cute explorations of daily life of characters. No traumatic lore, no story focused progression, just characters we love living their lives and giving us a taste of their world beyond the main series
You know, there's a whole genre called slice of life that does exactly that: low stakes daily life stuff. There's plenty of slice of life anime out there
@@plaza3825Yeah but.... Sometimes we like our stakes and drama too. It's just nice to see these characters who are normally living hard lives actually.... Having a normal day? Having fun? Makes a nice shake-up for the status quo. It makes a nice contrast. Meanwhile, slice of life shows rarely have stakes. Maybe a bit of personal drama. But, it feels like the exception, rather than the norm.
It's part of why I like JoJo part 4 A lot of episodes are just little adventures the characters go on that start as slice of life stuff that gets altered by a supernatural element
Interesting to note that Sally Mae's VA, Morgana Ignis, also wrote this short, so maybe the lack of writing experience might be a reason why it sorta felt a bit sudden, angst-wise.
How about a short about Loona, or Octavia, or any female character for that matter. Seriously, guys, Fizz and Ozzie are already practically main characters. Give the shorts to the characters who need them.
Or just their relationship being a mixed status couple would be awesome personally i dont care if kesha voices her again i love her character more then anything
@@samanthawh8272Hearing Bee with a different voice would throw me off, same thing happened with striker. But honestly Bee doesn’t seem to be catching any heat for dating a hellhound, someone who’s below the imps. Some people found it odd since Ozzie is getting flamed for dating an imp but I chopped it up to him being the sin of lust, so being in love shouldnt be a thing according to the media
I think growing up in hell has automatic trauma applied. She doesn't have family related trauma. But. She's still an imp (one of the "lowest" and most discriminated against races in hell) and she's still in hell.
Apparently, she is going to be calling out Blitzo in one of the future episodes (though it will probably be a hallucination or something like that), which comes out of nowhere, given how positive their relationship is.
To be completely fair to the pacing, going from anger to sadness to reminiscing to punching each other in the span of a minute is kinda just how siblings are I love the idea of Helluva shorts, I really wanna see more of Loona and Octavia being friends/kinda-sorta-step-sisters, and maybe just some more world building of each of the Rings, I think that would be really cool as well

Yes to all of these. I really wish we could’ve gotten to know just what kind of Relationship Millie had with Chazz. A showcase to just what kind of dynamic Octavia has with her Mother is desperately needed. Bee and Tex would be interesting. Also, yes, a 7 Deadly Sins meeting would be very interesting to see, I have always imagined how it would be and I would like to see just what kind of dynamic all of the Sins has with each other, especially with Lucifer, Although, i think a Short like that probably should be saved for when after all of the Sins has been properly introduced.
I don’t think the Lucifer idea could happen because Amazon has ownership of Hazbin Hotel, so there would have to be some legal issues or talks and money demands for it to happen. Also that Viv wanted both shoes while in the same universe, to not have a direct connection, basically like use of characters like the overlords, Charlie, the hotel’s existence. But who knows what can happen.
2:20 Octavia and Stella short would be 100% great to fill in the blank of their dynamic. like i would assume they just genuinely don't have one but alas, Via allegedly spends weekends with Stella so. On one hand I think it's somewhat plot relevant, so maybe it'd be better in a proper episode but I would love getting to learn of their dynamic outside of episode and framing constrictions 🎉 other than that...... ik Stolas is a main character but if the show can't get to it - mah guy needs friends. please get him some friends shdhdj
I honestly I want to know as well since if Hell court system is anything like ours, meaning they understand Via old enough to decide who she wants to live with then there must be a reason why she goes to her mother on weekends or in general
It's more of a Sallie May centered short but it still had a good bit of duality, especially at the end where you can see that they both kind of have the same issue with not putting in the effort to go see each other. It was a bit more Millie development
This Short dedicated to Millie and Sallie May is just what we needed, these two have a very cute sister relationship especially that Sallie May does admit she misses Millie around the Wrath Ring. Plus it's also adorable that Moxxie is letting Millie and Sallie May have fun in silence while he goes to his room.☺️💕
The latest Helluva Boss short was freaking epic! It was a real treat to see Sallie May again after all this time! And it was awesome seeing sisterly bonding between Millie and Sallie!
I never noticed this until someone pointed it out but I like how Sallie Mae keeps one streak of white in her hair as only make imps have white hair It shows that she’s okay with being known as trans and is proud of it!
While possible, I think it’s more likely that dying your whole head is expensive and she can’t afford to do it every time a little white shows so she probably waits to make it more economical.
NGL, I also felt the audio mixing this episode was less than pristine, but as someone that had the opportunity to watch it live in LVLUP, I cried because it was the first new thing we've gotten from HB in months.
God I’m so excited for more Shorts! Hopefully we’ll get a Loona and Octavia short, even a Stella short. 5 minutes of giving these women some full on character interaction so the fans can be happy getting more.
It took forever, but the show is finally exploring Milliw relationship with another character that isn't Moxxie. Though the fact that this happened in a short is still oof.
A short I’d love to see is a Custody visitation of Octavia and Stella. Just the idea of seeing Stella try and be nice would be gold, plus it could give some hints to anything Stella has in plan for Octavia against Stolas and the family wealth.
Actually if they wanted to do a crossover with Hazbin and helluva boss, a cool one would be seeing the sins interact with Charlie or Lucifer. Those would be comedy gold
I just found out in Twitter that Millie is actually the oldest sibling & Sallie Mae is actually the youngest one😱 which makes a whole lot more sense now!
I think a smoking gun they missed was the fact that Millie did go to wrath in season two to save stolas. Imagine if sally learned about this and realized that she had an opportunity to see her in passing but didn’t even get the chance.

I met morgana Ignis at a convention and she was just going around to artist alleys buying prints and signing them and giving hugs she's genuinely such a wonderful person I'm so glad to see more of her character.
This was a really cute short honestly and it was most definitely needed for Millie. I can’t wait to see what other characters get a short maybe Octavia or Luna.
I think having shorts is a really good solution to the fact that they don't really have filler given the way the episodes come out, like it can't help supplement that type of stuff to get better views on the relationships in a leas plot oriented setting
You know I'm hoping they also make these kinda shorts for Hazbin Hotel. I'd like to see characters like Cherri Bomb get the spotlight in their own shorts.
Short ideas -bee and Ozzie meeting -a day in the life of (insert villain) what they do when they aren't attacking IMP or stolas -fizz and blitz hang out while trying to do what they did as teens
Nice Ideas. I would like to see more interactions between the Sins and just what kind Dynamics they have with each other. When you say Villain, are you referring to the ones who have been Recurring so far or perhaps one of their Victims who were sent to Hell? As for Fizz and Blitzø, that would be interesting, but I don’t really know how I would take it, I guess it depends on what direction it would go.

This short was pretty great My favourite moment tho was easily just Moxy walking off letting his wife have her moment. So much was said and written within just that single scene alone, shit was peak
2:13 the fact this wife and her daughter of a main character having a single conversation is a crazy concept to think about speaks volumes about how poorly this show handles its female characters💀
Yeah. It is kind of weird that the women in a show written by a woman get sidelined a lot. The short reminds me of back issues of Claremont Xmen comics, often written by his editors, Louise Simonson and Ann Nocenti which usually gave new perspectives for villains or some of the heroes which you wouldn’t see with the heroes present. Sometimes, it’s something like Mystique and Destiny talking in a dance club after Mystique got Storm depowered saving Rogue. It’s a nice, quiet moment that really gives a lot to the relationship between the two villains that they couldn’t show back then. The other one that comes to mind was one on Emma Frost in the 80’s where a new Waitress talks with her, sees how deluded the White Queen is and realises she needs to leave the job asap.
I would actually kill for a short that was Fizz and Ozzie on a double date with Vortex and Bee in the gluttony ring now that their relationship is public. We’d get to see the two nicest sins in Helluva Boss interact, maybe have Vortex give Fizz some advice for dating a sin, plus I feel like Bee and Fizz would get along great. We’d also get some possible insight into complications with Bee and Vortex’s relationship that we didn’t see in her episode that could be similar to Fizz and Ozzie’s, because even if them two going out is more accepted there’s still bound to be something. Maybe Fizz or Ozzie just assumed that the two of them have been all fine but have to realize that they’re struggling too and Fizz and Ozzie will have to deal with the fact that even if some people accept the relationship there will always be people who don’t.
Fun fact, before this short dropped, Spindlehorse Head of Production was sending out tweets to get new hires. One of them was for Sound FX/Mixing. Something I thought you should know since you brought it the sound.
My short ideas: Loona dealing with the unhinged/deranged customers that are so frequent that Blitzo needs a button under his desk. (Maybe parallel to Tex dealing with Verosika’s unhinged/deranged fans, building on Loona’s crush.) Stolas’ hellhound guards catching Blitzo in S2:E1 when Blitzo tries to sneak in. DHORKS try to catch a demon (which is not actually a demon after all.) Fizz x Ozzie domesticity cuteness. Lord knows we’ll buy the merch and eat that stuff UP. Striker does mundane tasks while his little mariachi imps sing about it.
Short ideas: Verosika's daily life. I think it'd be neat to see what Verosika does in her normal day to day. Does she have some kind of big mansion? Is she modest with a normal house? Does she like being famous? How does she get on with the other incubi/succubi? Wally running a business. I just wanna know how this dude keeps managing to open stores that end up burning. Like is bro cursed or something? It could also be a cool way to show how classist other demons are to Imps in power. Agents day off. The agents lowkey seem like they have something going on, so I wanna see what they do on their time off. Idk maybe they plan a beach vacation together. Octavia & Blitzo teaming up. I don't know why, but I get the sense that Octavia and Blitzo would get along really well. I wanna see them in some kind of story where they team up. Maybe she helps Blitzo get a gift for Stolas as they both avoid gossipy royals who would give away their location. Fizz's dogs. Why not, just have a silent film type vibe as we see Fizz's 6 dogs just have a blast on some funky adventure in Ozzie's house. The Goetia's house staff. I gotta know how they're doing, especially Pringles who apparently makes enough money to afford to go to Ozzie's nightclub. Why do they serve the Goetia? Do they enjoy working there?
Finally some Millie development! I will say I’m happy that this is called Helluva Short 1, this means we’ll most likely get others which will be a great way to expand on certain characters I’d love these for Hazbin as well like a short about Pentious adjusting to Heaven but that would be harder due to A24 and Amazon
The part where they held hands at the end 😭 It’s sooooo reminiscent of me having a sisters night, laughing together and my sister telling us she’ll Venmo us five dollars if we tickle her back 🤣 The love between sisters is so precious, even though it can be challenging when people move away and change. I adored this short and it made me realize, like others are saying, how much I crave healthy interactions in this show lol…
Oh, i never even thought of that, but yeah that is something that does occasionally happen in these kinds of Series where Characters go to a different World, Hm, that would actually be pretty interesting to see, some kind of Recurring Non-D.H.O.K.S. Human Character that gets along with at least one of I.M.P, could happen in Season 3 maybe.
I love how Millie did say "well, you can visit me too" because relationships/friendships are give and take, if you have needs you gotta communicate them rather then expecting them to read your mind.
I would like a short maybe explaining how Crimson got his mafia business started and how he met Moxxie's mom cause from what we've seen they should of never crossed paths
4:30 honestly if you dont have a sibling, u would most likely get that perspective but I feel like people with siblings will understand the verbal jabs and banter that was going on during that scene. I have a sister and we do this kind of shit most of the time but its all good at the end of the day and rlly, none of the words during that are fully intended to cause harm on Millie. but ig its my perspective on this take
It would be great if they created shorts on the history of some these characters for example Blitz and Loona after she gets adopted or Stolas, Stella, and Octavia before Stolas met Blitz
Loved this short. Love Millie from what little we see of her, so I love that we see her have a good and solid relationship Sallie outside of the main group. And I love how it really does feel like a realistic sibling relationship. Solid short overall, and I can’t wait for others! Also, I agree that seeing Stella and Octavia having a conversation would be absolutely wild, and I’d honestly love to see it.
Mox at the end was a great cycle of emotional reactions. He was coming home knowing his wife spent her day with her sister, to see his wife (and sister) bruised and bandaged enough that he was concerned and wondering wtf happened. But then understood that they were smiling and laughing and knew whatever happened it was fine and he could hear about it later and gave them their space.
8:50 - AV tech here. For what it's worth, you're talking about sound balancing. Which is part of audio mixing, just like EQ and mastering is. So it is technically the right term in the same way as saying "I had an issue with the voices", when you have a problem with voice direction specifically. Not wrong, but if you want to talk specifics, that's the term you're looking for.
We know Stella gets Octavia on the weekends (from the episode where Stella and Stolas have their confrontation on the balcony), so a Mother-Daughter Weekend Adventure would be interesting to see as a short.
I can’t wait for the next short and I hope we’ll get one of Fizz trying to cook for Ozzie and we can see how horrible it went.😂😂😂 Maybe they’ll even give us a little peek of how Fizz and Ozzie met or how Fizz and Mammon met.😊❤❤❤
Fair and valid points and opinions, i hope things go up from here. As for Shorts I would like to see in the future, well aside from the one about Octavia and Stella that you suggested, ‘cause really it would be a massive missed opportunity if they did not make a Short focusing on Octavia’s and Stella’s Relationship, because that is desperately needed. I do have a couple of other ones i would like to see: Like a Short that gives us more of a glimpse to just what kind of Relationship we could expect between Octavia and Loona, whether it will be Romantic or just a more Sisterly Bond, I would be fine either honestly. I would also like to see a Short focusing Apple & Coco, that could go into just what it’s like to be part of Verosika’s little Posse, Although, if they were to do a Short like that, odds are that they might focus in the Posse in it’s entirety, since I don’t know how popular either Apple or Coco is in the Fandom. A Short focusing on the Glam Sisters could also be fun, but i don’t really know what it would be about, perhaps it could be about Barbie-Wire meeting up with them or something, I wonder how that would go? Heck, maybe we could even get a Short where we catches up with the Murder Family and see how well they’ve fared since coming to Hell? Honestly, with Helluva Shorts, the possibilities could be endless, So i wonder what Shorts would you like to see happen?
This short was sweet and all, but I find it both tragic and hilarious that Millie is such a low priority that she was given a little mercy short on the side in order to get some character growth and something interesting to do, instead of, you know an actual episode.
This is one of the things I miss about the early days of television and not streaming. Sometimes for commercial breaks you get mini episodes and shorts of cartoons and it was fun to see. Sort of like an insight into their lives outside of the regular episodes. But of course with binging and stream culture being popular there’s no longer any room to breathe.
I LOVE the idea of shorts to expand on characters or narratives that wouldn’t fit in in the main plot! (I wish we could have Hazbin Hotel shorts too ;-; showing things that happened in the hotel during those months until the last two episodes. Angel and Sir Pentious shorts, mostly. Also, a Vaggie short would be nice! I know we won’t get them, but I wish!)
I love the idea of having short, slice of life episodes. Here are some I would find interesting: - Via and Stella to explore the toxic dynamic - Fizz and Ozzie for wholesome couple shenanigans - Blitzø and his horse obsession - Striker just being a menace - Loona gets some friends - Moxxie doing damge control because of how crazy I.M.P must be as a workplace - Stolas goes to the biggest library in hell because he loves words - Bee and Tex's couple life
Interactions I want to see in the shorts: - Wanna learn more about Loona's relationship with Blitz, from her perspective... How did she felt moving in with him after the adoption? Was she even more aggressive at the begining? Did she had to finish high school or did she never finish her basic education? Did she tried to get hired on other jobs at first and got fired? Grosery shopping, eating breakfast, etc - Striker's mercenary life (we could see him doing different jobs, as an opportunity to see how imps interact in different environments) wanna see him train his horse too.. Of course I wanna learn more about where does he come from and why teh resentment he has for royalty feels so personal, but I think we will get that in the main story, at some point - Barbie Wire/Verosika rehabilitation journey (how serious was her addiction? did they bond with other patients in the rehab institution, or was it full of problematic people? are mental institutions terrible in hell?, it didn't seen like a bad place but who knows) - A day in the Imp Circus during Blitzø's childhood, so we can see how many people had the circus crew, what type of acts (did they have more animals? contorsionists?), the twins dynamic as kids, how much they traveled, how famous or humble the circus was, etc - Wanna learn what's the dynamic between Stella and Octavia (not just currently, but with flashbacks to see how their relationship has changed or not) I also wanna learn more about the imps who work at Stolas castle and how they view Stolas and Stella in relation to other goetia royalty - Millie dating Chaz (why did they broke up in such bad terms? Did he created on her? Did she had a patt3rn of dating bad boys or trash lazy men before meeting Moxxie?) - Wanna learn more about Moxxie's mom
I enjoyed this short a lot. Sally is a ncie character, I love her new outfit and she isn't a complete cashgrab for me anymore. I would love to see a short wirt Octavia and Loona/her mom. That would be so nice.
