The best 57 minutes I’ve ever spent, Millie’s powerhouse voice, bawdy and overtly sexual humour and unapologetic attitude. Not to mention command over an audience, this is a masterclass in how it’s done. Singers today y’all cannot touch this
It saddens me to know that I was deprived of her music because my mommie knew she was Explicit and I was definitely not old enough to listen to her music All I can acknowledge of her on one of her many albums she had honey 🍯 on her body 😂😂 fast forward 39 years later I love Auntie Millie
for me this is the queen of soul, don't you agree. She's never changed since i listened to her in boarding school in Kenya in the 70's. Keep the home fire burning Millie
I love her! "White people steal enough from us, let's steal from them!" and then she goes into her own, killer version of Nothing Compares. Millie, you are the queen!
The first time heard Millie was on the radio it was late at night... very late. The song in particular was " All the way lover". WOW ! Millie was rappin' light years before anyone else ! She tells it like it REALLY is and god bless her for it. Feeling Bitchy, Still caught up.... I still play them 40 years or more later !
I love this women she was bad ass and she was ahead of her time..This some good soul music right here..She has a butch of good songs they were sexual some of them but a lot if it was done by her..People are doing that now but she already done it..
Chilling...unbelievable that a lot of female artists don't acknowledge her as an influence...she is amazing..one of greatest voices God gave to music and us. I love her..this was so entertaining to watch..felt good!
I am so surprised that viewers did not peaked to millions, she is still soul and an entertainment champion, that as a female Artist no one can match, she makes her lookers laugh , excited, well entertained and fulfilled. Her songs are still good now as it was way back when. I till owned all her vinyls records. That band is so good and dynamic, they match her voice ,antics, personality and performance I love this lady and I hope that she is still doing well and keeping safe.
Caught Up Still Caught Up -back in the 70's we couldn't play her music when momma was in the room . Love that deep throated soul voice. Her and Donna Summer, Betty Wright , were constantly played in our house.
Millie you are a goddess your voice is a perfume of a rarity of this beautiful heritage that we have left. you are part of the last dinosaurs - a rare specimen. I kiss you. Claude from France 🇫🇷
Haven't heard Millie Jackson since being in the Army in the early 80s. Damn, I've missed hearing her voice. Laughing my ass off! Lots of memories listening to Millie!
The sensational Millie Jackson, the Queen of Deep Soul. Loved you along time baby - you are simply the very best. Thank you for all your beautiful music.
Milly J has the power to draw you to her music like a moth to a flame. She has stage presence and will keep her audiences in a state of.......... exhilaration
Even us who born in 70 we know the best female voice of soul music in USA and if you listen to the music you may think it's done in 2013 best best best best best best like it
Millie is fantastic, a great singer, performer and a fantastic person and she's always been that way. She always brings a smile to my face and love to my heart.
NO no the crowd is not dead it's the Music, the singing" feelings real , real, real, black music, hurt love, pain, being for real. OK UNDER STAND?????????.
One Of The Best Performance's Of All Time! And when the woman came to her; Millie said: Hello No! Don't want to feel it, Can Make Me Feel It, Nothing I Want To Feel, Un-rehearsed, great performance!!!!
Is this available to buy on DVD???? Can anyone copy it to DVD for me???? OMG I love Millie Jackson, my all time favourite concerts, London in the 70's/80's. She was, and remains, a fantastic performer. The young upstarts nowadays, most with no discernable talent, only have gross-out explicit shock tactics to rely on. Because Ms Jackson could sing (& oh boy could she belt out a tune) she incorporated her flair for observing the human condition with her comic timing, never failing to put on one helluva show. She was filthy rude and outrageous, but hilarious. Therefore she was never revolting, so her audience never felt tainted, like they needed a bath after seeing her. We laughed along with her and, being the polished artiste she was, she heckled right back, taking on with aplomb, anyone in the audience who wise-cracked. She played places like Hammersmith Odeon regularly, perfectly sized venues to get close to her fans. So she had to know how to work it, cos there was none of the hiding in plain sight miming a backing track afforded by the huge arenas of today. In those days we went to see in concert the people who's records we enjoyed, who's albums we bought, we didn't just download occasional tracks, deleted after five minutes, none of that nonsense was invented yet. And that meant we got what we wanted (and far more than our money's worth in the case of Ms Jackson). How fortunate we were to have had those experiences. If the 'singers' today had a grain of similar talent they still could not compare. Perhaps if they paused from posting pouting lip 'selfies' for long enough to actually work and develop a craft, maybe one or two will have an enduring career. As it stands, I doubt there'll be one of the current crop who'll be remembered in 5 years, let alone the almost half a century Millie Jackson has endured. Look, listen, and learn Rihanna et al.
😂😂😂 , I always heard about Millie Jackson in the 80’s but never took the time to really listen to her material, I have to say I missed out but I’m glad for social media, Facebook brought me here ( I want to feel it 😂😂😂😂😂) and I’ve watch this entire show and loved it. I hear some Gladys in hear voice too.
I come from the UK. I've been madly in love with Milly, since I first saw her back in the 80's. Such beauty, such talent. Oh, be still my beating heart. Milly, be mine! X
Raymond, I've been a fan since I heard 'Loving Arms' on Radio Luxembourg's Black Friday show, circa 1975/6. I was in my bedroom with my crackling transistor radio, and from that moment my life changed. I went out shopping with my parents the next day, but on my mind was how desperate I was to buy that record (no such thing as Google in those days!). And karma was on my side, in the unlikeliest of all places, a tiny corner of the Timothy White's store in Watford! A dozen of the sort of LP's my grandparents would buy (Max Bygraves anyone?!!) were scattered. I flicked through the records, killing time as I was bored of whatever my parents were doing. But then, I could not believe my eyes, among those records was a 'Best of Millie Jackson'! So this person I'd not heard of till the previous evening had other recordings too, I was so excited! I loved this album ('Loving Arms' was on it!). But I was doubly fortunate because the area I lived had two excellent record shops, and I wanted to find out more about Millie Jackson - the shop owner would play the records and you could stand in the booths to listen (remember those? LOL)). I bought everything she'd already released and every album which came after, then did the same when they were re-released on CD. I have never, ever tired of them. Seeing her concerts when she played in London was icing on an already sweet cake, then meeting her was an extra slice (disastrously I'd forgotten my camera that night). But another time I did get a couple of photos with her outside Hammersmith Odeon. The happiest of days, I wouldn't have traded them for anything.
How come Japan always finds these great old soul videos and releases them but here in the states we get none? Thanks for posting this! I LOVE Miss Millie!

So talented, and so unique, a real master at her craft. She doesn't even need the raunchiness. Who compares to her today? Listening to Millie sing I Feel Like Walking In The Rain, I have to say this is soul, because it makes you feel something. Sorry for going on and on, but I just didn't know Millie Jackson was this good.
I saw Millie back in the day. She had better body than most of us younger women. If you with a man, you can forget him paying attention to you when Millie performing. They be like huh, what, what you say...
Millie you are a goddess your voice is a perfume of a rarity of this beautiful heritage that we have left. you are part of the last dinosaurs - a rare specimen. I kiss you. Claude from France 🇫🇷
