You have a very nice setup there with fine equipment. I aspire to someday enjoy the full circle of harvesting timber, milling lumber, constructing a building and parking equipment in it. And I kind of envy your locale. I have a lifetime of camping experience in the Adirondacks. From Verona NY.

Thanks for the comment! I have acquired a little at a time. First mill was a chainsaw mill. First tractor was a 1950 Massie-Harris. Probably 25 -30 years ago. There is no way to get everything at once. Thanks for watching!

That was a big ole white pine. Yea the GoPro over heats with the internal battery, I figured out a way to add a external battery. I’ve recorded up to 20 hrs none stop. I did a video on it. Welcome to RU-vid glad you found me, let me find you 😂 take care

We've started experimenting with external batteries for the GoPros. With an external battery you don't need an internal battery and it keeps it from overheating. Steve at MSD Making Sawdust @msdmakingsawdust had a video on it awhile ago.

Nice video!! I have four Norway spruce logs I'm going to milling soon. Do you know if Spruce have a lot of pith like pine? I'm assuming so because they are both softwoods. Thanks

I don’t think it is as bad as White Pine. I use windshield washer fluid with Dawn dish detergent and Pinesol as a lubricant and it works well.

What model tractor are us using there I'm looking at a 40 hp what are your thoughts on high flow hydraulics on smaller tractors?

I have a John Deere 3039R. I have to admit I don’t have a lot of knowledge of hydraulics, just what I have learned. So far this tractor hasn’t disappointed. Started with a 1026R. I love it.
