Hey Ben, how often do you use humic acid? It seems you use it monthly or even weekly, is it righ?

Francesco Dias hey mate, I’m applying it closer to every two weeks. Sometimes I get keen and go weekly. It’s because I’m adding kelp, liquid iron and some extra fulvic acid as well. Helps to unlock bound up nutrients in the soil and prolong the effects of the kelp and iron. Great for getting some carbon into the soil as well. Since I rotary hoed my soil 2 months ago I need to get some carbon back in there. Anyway, nothing wrong with applying weekly!

Add sidewalls to your spreader to increase its capacity to hold more content. 3 to 4 inch walls. Bolt the walls to the inside of the spreader.

iron is one of the best ways to make your grass look fuller in thickness and color. I work as a greenkeeper in Denmark and we spray our greens with iron and magnesium. And is gives them a more dark green, blue'ish color.

Your lawn care should be specific to where you live and the type of grass you have. In California if you have nitrogen during the summer months you risk burning or killing your grass. Videos like these should at most in their description say what type of lawn and where they live.

I understand its just the microbes that ate the poo but hey . . . you are what you eat. The grass is always greener by the septic. :) I like using milo but I personally wear gloves when working with. humic acid is a must to improve to peak plant growth. thicker grass means more carbon , microriza, roots and the nitrogen. combination of that is what builds the soil. makin compost.

I put down milorganite for the first time this spring and now there are little mushrooms growing every where. It’s been wet enough I haven’t needed to irrigate. I’m sure they’re harmless but, I’m discouraging the kids from rolling around on the grass. Hopefully they run their course soon.

Something to consider... and everyone has their own way of doing things... But overfilling your hopper leads to misery if you have any sort of srpeader mechanical/physics issue... my lawn is sloped, yours isn't... my spreader wants to tip to the side if I'm not careful. If you have a problem with the spreader opening adjustment/open-close lever, you have to hand empty quite a bit of material. The only point I'm trying to make is... which is easier... moving a bag or two or hand emptying an over-filled hopper?

You are a pro. Have you thought about calling Jacklin seed or some local seed grower to get sponsored. Maybe do 10-15 3x3 test plots in your back yard and compare different cultivars for people to learn more about growth level/speed, leaf texture and color of different KBGs.

Connor, you're a national treasure. Do you feel that there's much of a difference between granular and liquid humic acid formulations? Because for those of us without steady flow rate, calibrated (non hand pump) sprayers, the granular would be easier to use. Or, any strong reason to change to liquid besides to support LCN?

So did you just put 180lbs. of Milo on 7500 sq. ft.?? Because that's my exact formula for my 7500 sq. ft. lawn. Threw 'er down 3 weeks ago in anticipation of Independence Day. I took GCI Pete's advice and started running my sprinklers for 5 minutes per section, per day, during the hottest part of the day to wick some of the heat away from the grass blades. My grass has been growing like mad in this heat since I started that. It's like being out in the heat and pouring a bucket of water over your head. You instantly cool off and you stay cool as the water evaporates off of you.

Thank you for the video Connor! How does the cost of the prior granular humic acid that you used to apply with your broadcast spreader compare to the spray version you applied in this video. Seems like the granular is simpler.
