Awesome video, answered the exact question I had in mind. Do you think the extra 1000 or so rpm really helps for polishing? Also did you do the entire car as in every panel with only that polisher 😮?
@Homeonthetools
@Homeonthetools 4 месяца назад
Thanks mate glad you liked the vid, absolutely the extra rpm makes a difference, I use this for sanding quite a bit and the extra speed is unreal. I did just a couple of panels on my car for the vid, it’s a bit small to do the whole car, leave at for the 18v machine which I have also 👍🏻

@@Homeonthetools yeah I’ve used a pad on a drill and it didn’t really work well. Never really occurred to me that it might be the rpm. I bought one and I’m excited either way. The sanding feature with the twist lock discs is awesome and it saves me from using a pneumatic tool which makes my compressor run constantly. Not sure if you know but you can also get twist lock scotch brite pads which are awesome for finishing steel.

Is there a trigger lock or do you have to hold the trigger at the speed you want?
@Homeonthetools
@Homeonthetools 2 месяца назад
Hey mate, no trigger hold on this one, only has complete lock out when the tool is off

I'm drawing a complete blank on how to attach sand paper to the backing pad? Am I missing something here?
@Homeonthetools
@Homeonthetools 8 месяцев назад
It uses speed lock wheels, with a grub screw like thread, maybe you’re trying to attach to the buffer backplate, check for the sanding one, looks like a little suction cup with a thread

It's muscle memory, but i think it's hilarious that we still do a circular motion with something that spins in a circular motion. I do it too

how long does the battery last?
@Homeonthetools
@Homeonthetools 2 месяца назад
4amp would last around 30mins on full speed, it does chew through the juice pretty quick, stick to small jobs, get the 18v for large ones 👍🏻

Hey mate, it has a 9mm .75 thread so you could attach what you like however I reckon 6inch would be a bit big on this machine

This tool is pretty good with fine sanding and polishing, it takes the speed lock discs, do a google search they are readily available and would take the work out of the hand polishing for sure 👍🏻
