By far the best video on using an articulating hedge trimmer attachment. The only video that clearly shows all the angles that it can be set at, the cut quality, how to lubricate it -- even how it hangs up and stores. Thank you.
Great video Mark. No BS. My trimmer is scheduled to arrive today and can't wait to use it. The part about not having to use a ladder is key for me at 77 yrs!
Thanks Mark, this is what I need now, aged 78. My De Walt is very good but the head flops about and it is now too top heavy using the extension pole with the motor being where it is . Now to find one in Cheshire , U.K. 😊😊👍👍
@@MarkThomasBuilder Thanks again Mark ,I like it too . I've located one , the dealers aren't bad but tend not to carry the whole range of options but using two dealers , I'm fixed up now. In fairness to them, there seems to be quite a few shortages over here and on the Continent at the moment, could it b China ? Inflation , don't know but thanks again, Ian 👍😊
QUESTION OF THE DAY: If you had to choose between 1 tool, would it be a regular hedge trimmer or an articulating hedge trimmer? And why? Also- what attachment would you like to see me review next? The chainsaw or edger?
Another great video! I would choose the articulating hedge trimmer, more versatile and easier to to reach taller bushes. I would like to see the chainsaw next.
I’ve used mine once and it will take some practice to get the hang of this trimmer. It is heavier than I thought it would be so I adjusted the handle to help with the balance. Next time I use it I will grab it with my left hand further up the pole to see if that gives me better control.
@@nickalbia4739 No, not at all. This is a high-end, very high-quality tool which cannot use attachments from anything less. But this tool, you will love it, it will run a lot longer, and certainly do a lot more work much, much faster. MilwaukeeElectric
I used the chain saw attachment to cut only about 6 honeysuckle branches up high. My gosh it gets heavy. By the 6th time lifting and holding it to cut it felt like a last set of overhead presses! Happy it did the job and didn't even phase the battery. You pop those attachments on and off fast, my M18 attchs have a silver button that has to line up with a notch in the power end. The boxwood trimming you added was great for me. think you should skinny down the sides of the bush by the pole to give you more room to trim it. First of spring was perfect trimming time.
I'm planning on using the saw attachment soon for the first time. Milwaukee offers a shoulder strap to go with this, but I'm not sure it would help with the weight?
@@MarkThomasBuilder Yeah you're right, it's kind of held in front or high reaching so there wouldn't be much or any weight on a shoulder strap. Hasn't been easy to get the hedge trimmer and extension attachments. Not even available on Amazon so you're lucky!
A man and his toys, nice. Milwaukee pole saw and blower combo coming in tomorrow. I have Kobalt 80 volt cordless yard tools so far but decided on the Milwaukee as 3' section could be added while the Kobolt is fixed at 9 feet with hard to find replacement chain.
Glad to hear it! I laugh thinking back to a high school teacher who said I answer questions in class like a politician... beat around the bush and never get to the point, lol!
I was straddling the fence on the Milwaukee and was deciding between this Milwaukee or the Makita XNU01Z articulating hedge trimmer. You video may have just tipped the balance and convinced me to go with the Milwaukee trimmer.
I just picked up this hedge trimmer free with the purchase of the trimmer 2825-21ST. I just bought a 200.00 Husqvarna gas trimmer and it turned out to be a POS. The line was like paper and to wind it was a nightmare, it went back the next day. An extra 100.00 bucks and got electric with a nice head that winds the line by the cap. Way nicer and a free hedger (150.00 to 180.00 on line) which I really needed.
It's an amazing tool that sure comes in handy. I like walking around my yard with the line trimmer, not having to run the engine all the time, like a gas unit. I'm woking on a video this weekend showing all the work I can do on a single charge of a 12Ah battery. I'm going to use the different attachments like the edger and chainsaw.
My new Husqvarna gas trimmer was working great until it stop working within couple hours of non continuous usage. They refused to fix it under warranty said I use bad gas. BS, I had 2 cycle equipment working for 20 years and being careful with new gas and oil mixture ratios. Switched to 80 volt Kobalt trimmer and never looked back, getting a Milwaukee pole saw and blower tomorrow.
I would choose the articulating hedge trimmer.Because you can top off tall shrubs and cut at different angles. I would like to see the edger review next . Thanks
What is the name of the product you use to lube the blades? And would this work on honeysuckle? Not to cut them down but to keep them from pressing forward? Thanks!
Considering purchasing this exact thing, weed eater with the hedge trimmer additionally. Wanted to touch up on hanging from that hole, that seems to work ok for you? I have a Rubbermaid strip from Home Depot that I’ll be hanging my system on and want to make sure it will be working. Thanks!
I have a small hook on my pegboard for the hedge trimmer accessory and it's working just fine. I also have the Rubbermaid Fasttrack system to hang the entire line trimmer accessory. I'll probably use the line trimmer weekly and the hedge trimmer bi-monthly.
markthomasbuilder thank you much sir, fun fact I’m originally from Michigan as well. Recently moved to Virginia. Kinda chuckled when I heard that in the previous video.
Its a beast! I got the 8amp head unit/ charger, trimmer pole, extension pole and 10” chain saw pole for $383 including 7.% tax. Free shipping to house! Opsie @ home depot
Are these 80% off websites for Milwaukee real or is it to fake. I just wanted to purchase the power head and hedge trimmer but can’t see where this is an option
Used mine twice and the dang thing locked up on me . It's got pop over down to the hedgers because it torques when you pull the trigger bit the blades won't move . Trimmed 5 bushes. Disappointing.
Mine locked up just once on me after the first year. I noticed some metal got bent somehow, so I spent 10 minutes filing the burr off. It's worked well ever since. I also maintain it after each use by applying ECHO Red Armor Blade Cleaner and Lubricant.
