The Milwaukee Tool M18 FUEL 6, 9, and 12 Gallon Dual-Battery Wet/Dry Vacuums are unique due to their versatility. They can not be converted to corded units with more power. You can buy the 9-gallon wet-dry vac and with a few extra items turn it into a 6 or 12-gallon vacuum. In seconds, you can change from a 1-7/8" hose to a 2-1/2" hose. The amount of accessories available is fantastic and the thought and development put into them are amazing!

I also hope Milwaukee makes a standup carpet vaccum for a professional janitorial carpet cleaning with a headlight, adjustable beater bar and a built in outlet for corded operation and battery charging when parking it.

I don't think it would have been that hard to make a powerhead with both a corded and a battery option. However, it is nice to see that Milwaukee at least created a corded version despite the fact that other tools, such as the table saw, etc. would have benefitted from such an option....

I agree. An all in one u it would have been the best approach like they do with some of their high end work lights. I would have bought that unit right away. I have no need for 2 heads and have to Lego stuff together or buy 2 units etc. no thanks.

Milwaukee always drops the ball on dual-source tools. Their M18 fan can do both but needs a proprietary plug, while Dewalt's fan uses a standard extension cord to plug in. Milwaukee misses little details that make a big difference.

It's all about them getting u to buy more batteries, simple as that Each time I buy a Milwaukee , Makita, DeWalt battery I could be buying a new Metabo HPT' 36V tool cuz I don't need as many as they all have the AC capability-for my longer run tools SDS Max rotaries, table saw, grinder, vacuum's, router in table, and some others it's the only way to go unless u want to carry around two tools, a corded and cordless or buy a shit ton of batteries, continuously switching em out, burning em up and replacing them for$$200+ a pop No thanks go green do both Metabo HPT' and Greenworks vac

In all likelihood, another company probably already has a patent on it. There’s a shit ton of “Why hasn’t company released this” and “Why did company do it this stupid way when someone else did it better” that is solely due to patents.

I love my ridgid 6.5 16g. But since I run a cyclone pre-filter with it for my dust control it doesn’t need to be so big. I’m thinking if I switch to this corded Milwaukee coupled with the tiny 6g base, I could easily cut the dust collectors profile in half. That’s a lot of room saved in my van.

6.5hp on 6gallon would achieve amazing suction. I have the 6hp ridged 4gallon and its amazing. with the 1.5" hose. Milwaukee would of done themselves a huge service in offering this and every other tool that works off both battery's and corded. even if they charged more money I would of already bought it because I have the battery's.

I have a battery (40v makita Dust extractor) and a ridgid 6.5 hpshop vac. In my opinion the cord is too important to give up completely, my Makita battery version is great but it simply can not replace the power and run time that can be achieved by using the cord. the makita is extreamely quiet but that the only time im selecting it these days

For the price and all idk its tough. I love cordless overall but not sure with a shop vac. I have a 16 gallon 6.5 hp ridgid that got for $100 awhile ago. I think for cordless i would consider just getting the dewalt portable powerstation (since thats my brand) and using the ridgid plugged into that. Also would get 4 batteries of runtime. Make a mount on top the ridgid for it

I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook ru-vid.comUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)

Why not a battery powered vacuum with the option to plug it in. Just like the rocket light. You can run the light with a battery or a cord. I think they really shit the bed on this one

Wouldn't the decibal level rise while actively vacuuming, say the water. They usually do when clogged If I'm not mistaken. Sucking water, I would assume is the most closely you could get to a clogged scenario without actively being obstructed. I could be totally wrong.

I love Milwaukee tools and I have and outrageous amount of money invested into the M18 platform but what would have really made sense was a motorhead that was ambidextrous corded and ran off of batteries. This don’t give away what you can sell crap from Milwaukee is getting old. because carrying around to motor heads makes sense.

Milwaukee's prices are out of hand. Selling a powerhead without a filter or a hose at that price? Selling a vacuum corded or cordless at that price period. This is why I'm only partway into the Milwaukee ecosystem. Unless the tool is unique to Milwaukee, or performs outrageously better ( and yeah I own a fair few Milwaukee tools due to those two points) I usually stick to Rigid.
@obsessedmobiledetailing

It makes no sense that Milwaukee doesn’t offer the corded version with anything else besides just the power head. It makes this vacuum cost over $400 when you have to buy the power head,the container, a hose, and filter.

You get what you pay for the corded Milwaukee is the top of the line shop vac. I have the Dewalt and Milwaukee I have the top of the line Dewalt shop vac I know dewalt doesn't make it but it has their name on it anyways the Milwaukee is more powerful than it and it was the king on project farms video. The fact that they've released the mower, shopvac, and a blower that are all 18x2 tells us that no, they won't. And other than the mower, they've got versions that only require one battery.

Just eat up those batteries and keep spending time switching and buying more batteries MHPT' and Greenworks have cordless/AC hybrids that can do both If you have access to AC with vac's, rotary hammers, table saws, grinders and some others and your no plugging in your wasting time and money and run time I luv all my cordless colored friends but AC is still a better way when available for certain tasks Metabo HPT' gives u that option for all 36V tools- thank u MHPT
@reaperreaper5098
@reaperreaper5098 Год назад
@@baseballdude8491 Metabo HPT’s AC implementation isn’t some god send. Having a large transformer brick in the middle of a cord limits its usefulness in the field, and frankly, in an exclusively shop situation, the cost of the adapter and an HPT tool combined could instead buy a better corded version off the bat. It’s a niche usecase that’s only really suitable for a small audience.
@baseballdude8491
@baseballdude8491 Год назад
@@reaperreaper5098 a cord is a cord bro The "brick" has a 20ft cord and 15ft of it is "after the brick" which is longer than many of the corded grinders, SDS Max and Plus rotary, vacuums, hammers and table saws out there so the "brick is a non issue Been in many jobsites with the SDS where my DeWalt and Milwaukee buddies have had to go through 6-10 batteries in a single day while I am able to keep on truckin and over 50% of those batteries especially the DeWalt 60Vflexvolts won't recharge for the rest of the day as they overheat, the Milwaukee don't do much better once I overheated-I have the Milwaukee and leave it at home now just for that reason Some guys actually carry two SDS rotaries and grinders which is not what I want to do as space is limited in my trailer/trucks Keep buying batteries while I keep buying more tools and keep getting my job done faster BTW I have at least half of my collection in Red and others in Teal but Metabo HPT' has had the best nailers for 25+ yrs as well as rotary hammers and their 36V tools are best bang for buck hands down
@reaperreaper5098
@reaperreaper5098 Год назад
@@baseballdude8491 A plug is substancially smaller than the brick, and it doesn’t matter that the cords on corded tools are shorter as extension cords exist. The brick is indeed an issue, and it’s a relatively common complaint of the tool. It’s a legitimate trip hazard, it will get caught on corners, ledges, and in doors, as well as just acts as a weight on the cord when being dragged around. You owning other tools is irrelevant. Anyone that has seen your other comments on other videos will recognize that you’re a Metabo HPT fanboy. You constantly talk about the company’s tools as if they’re a gift from God, and you’ll bring them up if there’s the slightest wiggle room to bring them up on a tangent.
