This bass was made in the early 2000s, as a continuation of the P Lyte bass from Japan. It's got a light body, modern sounding pickups and a slim neck. HOWEVER some of the neck's apparently were WEAK and therefore got a permanent bow in them. This was one such bass. So I replaced the neck.
BUT even that was tricky because the heel width is 1.375" and there are 22 frets. No one has a neck like that in stock. It took a few tries until I found a neck that was close in specs, then carefully filed and sanded away the heel so it would fit, applied some shims and got it set up! It plays nicely now, and the amount of tones you can get in one space is frankly amazing. It's well balanced and super light, even with a cheap strap.
