This Mimic Panel, or Control Panel, is part of the finishing touches to the signal box at Woodgate Crescent Station on the Linleys Garden Railway. It has been a long time on the drawing board but, finally, with some laser cutting done and a few hours of fiddly assembly, it is ready for installation.
In this video I have explained some of the reasoning behind the design and construction of the Mimic Control Panel. I could have done it much simpler but I wanted the detail and so set to work achieving what I wanted. I am really pleased with the way it looks.
I will next need to add the fixing bolts and then set to work with the addition of the control switches and repeater LEDs. Lots more to do of course.
