If leonard wants out the spurs should consider a rebuild and trade leonard for him + other assets. What Doncic is doing in Europe at his age is absolutely unheard of. Great European players like Dirk, Giannis, Jokic, Porzingis were either playing for weaker European teams or at best were rotation pieces on a strong contender. Like they said in the video, the floor for Doncic is very high, unless he gets injured there is nearly a 0% chance he busts. That being said I do have some questions regarding his ceiling. His athleticism isn't great and he might struggle against quick, athletic players in the NBA. I would personally take Ayton first and Doncic second.

First of all, Luka is not some kid who wants to become a professional player, as he is already a professional player. His job is basketball. And kids from NCAA are not their duties are mostly book... For Luka is hard training every day.

I remember three white international number one pick 1)Pau Gasol - great career borderline halloffamer 2) Bogut - good career _ great defender impressive athlete for a white guy, but injury proned and unlucky 3) Bargnani - great shooter but very low basketball iq and stamina. He wasted his talent (but not technically a bust like Milic or Adam Morrison).

Luka Doncic is a "High Risk" but also a "High Reward" type of player. The team system can affect the player too. Look at Mario Hezonja, he _was_ a bust...but turns out to be really good if given minutes in playing time. I won't draft Doncic at no. 1, but he should be a top 3 pick.

I think a lot of times it’s just how euro ball emphasizes team ball it makes it even harder for scouts to guess that nba transition will be smooth. Also the euro players tend to lack that edge that the US players have as far as beating your matchup and that’s what you need in the NBA. The stigma is justified.

The best white player ever under 7"0 tall was Larry Bird and it was because he had a well rounded game with deceptive athleticism. He could post up and shoot amazing fadeaways and he was very crafty, he also was incredibly clutch. I am not sure Luka Doncic is that type of player, he has alot of growing to do. I also see him as liability at the defensive end, hes too small to guard 4s that are not running small ball lineups and too slow to guard 3s on the wing. Coaches will have to try and hide him on non slashing shooting guards like Kyle Korver types.

He’s a hell of a shooter, can play 1-3 with his good handle. But his lack of athleticism is in question. He should be fine, just interesting to see just how good he becomes.

He'll be a good player in the league for sure, but I'm not convinced his ceiling is future superstar. I think he'll immediately be as good as a Dragic, maybe a Kemba Walker and remain there for 7-8 years. Really good, but not quite a super star. Unfortunately he'll be on a bottom tier team and will waste most of his injury free years on a team no where near title contention. Perhaps he wins a title late in his career as a solid backup and barely misses the HOF, though he will be strongly considered. Thus ends my prediction for Doncic's career.

The biggest problem is those other euros that have become stars are either more athletic then Luka Doncic or significantly taller at 7 feet plus or both. That is why NBA gms will be hesistant on drafting him. At best he becomes another Ricky Rubio, but as a wing. I do not see great post moves either for his size he plays on the perimeter and without quickness or athleticism that will not work in the NBA.

You mention busts, but forget to mention guys like Pau and Marc Gasol, Nikola Jokic or Porzingis or even Giannis. There are much better European prospects coming over now especially with the in depth scouting that is available. I would say the likelihood of drafting a college bust is higher now than it is with drafting an overseas player.

He’s a really tall skilled player that can dribble, shoot, create for himself and his teammates. Plus his size will help defensively. He prolly won’t be a superstar but he will make the all star team one day and he will be a valuable piece to a championship contender. I really hope he goes to a good organization. I think the the question is the quality of defenses he has faced in the euro leagues. You see guys who can't get off an NBA bench who become MVP's in some of those foreign leagues. He looks like he can shoot. But is he fast and quick enough to get the position to consistently get that shot off against men who are much FASTER than those he has regularly faced?

He needs to be in NY with the Porzingod and Frank It will make his transition a lot better. A lot of times europlayers fail because of the cultural difference. New York is the best place for him because it's a Melting Pot of different cultures, there's a huge Slovenian community in New York City that would make him feel a lot comfortable.

I don't think GM's are hesitant because he is European. I feel like it's because his celing is Goran Dragic. He's a good player no doubt but is he able to carry a team to the finals or be a transcendent player? I personally don't think so
