What I don’t understand is he advises not to say it out load but aren’t those the key topics to talk about in an interview? At some point you’re going to have to speak on those topics out loud. I would have liked his insight into how he would transition that train of thought into his own words as if he was in a job interview.

Hey Rick thank you for your comment. I can't write on Ian's behalf but what I can say is he's focusing on the internal thought processes because they affect how you present yourself. In other words, if your mind is focused correctly, your body language, voice tonality, choice of responses etc. tend to authentically (and automatically) follow suit. The actual transition into conversationally expressing these sentiments follows as the conversation during the interview progresses. Hence, you get asked a question and the right answer (or what sounds good to the interviewer) is more likely to confidently appear because your attitude is on point. What you don't want is to be thinking about all the answers in your head before you go into that situation (like an exam) because that's when you run into saying the wrong thing; in this regard this is an alternative approach to cramming beforehand. Hope this helps!

Quite frankly, as an ethnic,British, 23 year old female whose sadly been to more than 150 unsuccessful interviews, in the last 5 years alone, I can confidently say there is nothing wrong with me or my interview technique. I am ALWAYS well prepared and thoroughly research well in advance for interviews and of course always early. The problem is with the cruel society and nasty interviewers who just don't want to employ me because I'm not a well-developed, privileged, Caucasian, blonde-haired, blue-eyed, voluptuous, English female with the looks. I have all the right attributes,qualifications,voluntary work experience, attitude and abilities to do the job wonderfully. People actually and audibly express their 'disgust' at my apparent unattractive-ness even though I'm probably the most conscientious.hygienic,well-prepared, Society is evil. I am worthy of employment. Anyone else would've committed suicide with all this rejection.

Sorry to hear that. What industry do you work in?
@sophiawatson1970

Z V I'm really sorry to hear your despair. I'm not sure what country you're in but your mindscript is currently that you aren't very attractive, the company is probably racist and won't employ you, and won't care about your skills. If you're going into an interview with this mindscript it will come across in your body language and how you speak to the interviewee. Trust me on this one. Try to change that mindscript to a positive one like the ones being suggested in the video and it may change your situation for the better. The job market for young people like yourself is very competitive and hundreds of people may be going for one job. It is a numbers game. Please don't give up. Unless you're going for a modeling or acting job where they specifically ask for the attributes you described, your ethnicity and how you look is irrelevant; employees want skills. If you present yourself well (smart, clean and tidy) at interview and are the right person for the job, all the other stuff shouldn't matter. If people are that rude to you at interview, do you want to work for them anyway? Unless you are psychic, you can't possibly know what anyone is thinking about you and the fact that you were called for interview in the first place means that they were interested in you as an employee.... Did they ask you to state your ethnicity on the form? If so then the likelihood is that they saw your ethnicity on the form and INVITED YOU for interview. That means that they were more interested in what you had to offer. All the best of luck to you x

I think I understood you Z V. Unfortunate that so many corupt people are in power. This reduces our potential production which reduves the demand for jobs which reduces the chanves of innocent people like yourself getting a job. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g6CzXmotTj8.html

Sorry, but if you have had that many interviews at that many different companies and you think there is nothing wrong with your interview technique, qualifications, character, ability to answer questions or work out how to be someone who could fit into the organisation then you are massively naive. Why don't you ask for feedback to the employers? As someone who is 23 it could well be that you are applying for positions you have no experience to do and that you are expecting a role that you aren't capable of doing. No one owes you a job, and if you aren't getting one after that many interviews then you should absolutely look again at how you are approaching them. Not trying to be a dick, but if you claim to be blameless, despite not getting a job then you ARE doug something wrong, you just haven't identified what it is. Your application was good enough to get an interview, so whats wrong with your interview? Saying there is nothing wrong with your interviews is conceited and arrogant in the extreme, everyone has something they can improve on or do better. Maybe people aren't appreciating your arrogance, because that what comes across here

My physical description is similar to yours, and sometimes, it was an asset. If a man conducted the interview, I didn’t have a hope in hell. If it was a woman, I was just what she was looking for. I’m surprised that you haven’t experienced the same.
