Mind is a subtle machine, which is fitted within, that is constantly generating thoughts.The mind harbours desires, attachments, anxieties, fears and the intellect accord values to things. The intellect is the decision making entity and the mind desires.This is how the function of the Mind and intellect happens.
Swami Mukundananda addressed the engineers at Visvesvaraya Bhavan, Khairtabad, Hyderabad on March 2019. This is a short Glimpses from the program.

As per the Bhagavd Gita, Mind is divided into two parts, i.e., Mind and Intellect. However Mind is creating good or bad thoughts, Intellect has the ability to control over the mind and has the capability to establish thoughts accordingly. Thank you very much Swamiji for inspiring us with good techniques to be implemented in our Life!

Very amazing lecture. Controlling the mind is very difficult but we can control the mind and take right decisions by using the intellect. Thank You Swamiji.🙏

No. Soul does not need to be intellectual. Soul is a primary attribute just like saying Thing, it's essentially basic. Intellect resides on abiotic resources. Intellect resides on the Narrator, the 1st Person. The soul resides in all living and non-living things, conscious or unconscious beings.

Revered Swami Ji, I learnt somewhere that there is some space between the mind and the intellect. And the information while travelling from mind to the intellect as ALSO from intellect to the mind gets DISTORTED . And obviously there is a need to integrate the mind and the intellect. Kindly tell if my learning is right or wrong. If its right, kindly dwell upon as to WHAT distorts the information in transit ( both ways) and WHY . And also as to how can the mind and intellect be integrated. Thank you very much, Swami Ji. Looking forward for your early reply. 🙏. 💐
