Poor guy. That there, I do have sympathy for him. As he grew, his mother realized how big he was becoming. So, she made him start sleeping in the basement. Her thing was, she was afraid Ed would rape his sister,due to his size. Then she sent him to the grandparents. If I remember correctly, Eds father was a large man too. Even henpecked by Ed's mother.

@@nickpatterson6099 You know how in horror movies, you have the build up, something is out there, but you don't know what. Then you see the monster and go "um, k." and the fear you felt is gone. Think that this show basically drag out that first part, because even though you see the monster, you cannot think a person like that (Edd mostly) would do those things, and you retain that fear you felt. That is what I take away from it all, but I am not a movie/show nut, this is just a random internet guy's take on it all.

I disagree, the older dark haired cop is wayyyyyy over the top in his acting. He really puts on this facade of shit don't stink arrogance that is just not necessary. You can tell he isn't even there mentally, it seems he is only focused on what he looks like to the audience and I can see right through his fake confidence. Watch his over acting at approx 6:20 or so...man he almost tilted his head 90 degrees holy over actor, like I said his acting doesn't match the scene at all, and he keeps giving off this vibe that his shit dont stink....amateur actor

This show is so damn good. The portrayals of the serial killers are all fantastic, but special mention goes out to Kemper and Manson so far. They're just so damn spot on it's insane. Berkowitz was another who did a damn fine job; they even looked identical.

When you find out “Ed Kemper” was a preschool teacher for 8 years. Cameron Britton is a brilliant actor and should’ve won an Emmy for this portrayal, it was spot-on, and definitely even creepier than the real Edmund.

"You feel it" yes you actually do because although Hannibal Lector is terrifying, and remarkably like a modern day vampire cannibal, Ed Kemper really exists. This guy deserves a Major Award because I do not think someone else could pull it off as well as he does. He is able to channel a darkness that few ever can unless they did those things, or were a great actor.

Cameron is by far the most captivating actor on Mindhunter. He is the best serial killer they interview and I was glad to see his return in season 2. He does such an amazing job portraying Kemper, it is chilling how good he is at making every scene he is in feel foreboding, like something could happen at any moment. Also love him in The Umbrella Academy!

It's like a switch. That's the line that transforms Cameron into Big Ed. The way this fine young actor picks up the subtle nuances and the small idiosyncrasies in Kemper’s speech, especially in his older interviews, is quite spectacular. His vernacular and choice of wordplay. Truly a spot-on performance. Even the actor that portrayed Richard Speck was quite excellent. Throwing the Sparrow into the fan just before the infamous line( It just wasn't their night) was an actual stunt Speck pulled when he was told he could not keep the bird as a pet. Mindhunter is quite literally, one hell of a show. I'd love a season three. Perhaps we could see John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Henry Lee Lucas, Albert DeSalvo, maybe even Kenneth Bianchi or Richard Ramirez. A lot of uncovered ground out there still.

The way his voice morphs I to the one he uses for Kemper was truly some chilling work there. This dude is incredible. And Kemper himself is just as horrifically normal seeming despite the crimes he committed.
