Who else is here from H20 Delirious’s hidden base Edit jeez I didn’t think there was this amount of people who came to see this video from H20 delirious
If your sheep are bunching up on the ladder: 1) Replace the bottom rung of the ladder with a water source. 2) Place a sign in front of the water source so the water doesn't flow back into the grass. 3) 4) Profit
Huh A Wat I have no idea. I found another one except instead of it being a path they take it’s a single cage per sheep. It’s auto so you don’t have to do anything but it’s prob 10 times less efficient. This one doesn’t work anymore so you should find another guide
I needed wool for such a long time, and i couldn't find a efficient way to get it, either if it was a spider farm or the old way of just chasing sheeps around and shear them. Thanks :D
As a Mac user, a trick I heard about is remapping the 2nd button to Caps Lock. When Caps Lock is activated, you will always be using the shears. Works great with AFK fishing farms as well. No need for weights or cats.
Hhraefin (ru-vid.com/show-UCMWgmSAwSFj42zQxkwo_nWA) suggested some really good improvements... Snocrash, this farm is awesome! I would like to recommend some very minor tweaks. 1) place slabs on the roof above where the sheep walk (both top and bottom). This keeps them from jumping, and encourages them to circulate. It makes a HUGE difference on how quickly they leave the shearing area. 2) place a sign exactly opposite where you are aiming to shear. Once in a while (very rarely) I had come back from AFK to find a wool block placed in the air space where the sheep were supposed to fall. If your shears break you can pick up a block of wool and place it in the gap! The sign (or alternately a torch) will keep you from accidentally blocking the path. 3) I know this sound very odd, but I placed a spider web just above the drop area. This tends to have the effect of evenly spacing the sheep out...nearly never do you miss one because it's falling super fast, or there are two "stacked up". Totally cosmetic, but I encased my whole farm in glass. I have a set mix of colours and didn't want anyone to come by and recolour them for me. It appears to have had no bad effect on the grass or sheep. I also popped in plenty of lighting. I noticed that every so often I would find shears in the output chest...I guess they go flying off wildly from the dispenser, maybe a dropper would make that happen less often? I had not tried it since it's such a minour point. Anyway, this is truly an awesome little farm and works perfectly in 1.11.2 if anyone is wondering.
On Mac its very similar to what you said in the video for windows, here is how you can do it on mac *1.* Hold down your right-click (or whatever you use for shearing) *2.* Press F3 to show all open windows (still holding right-click) *3.* Once its transitioned, wait a second or two and release the right-click *4.* Press F3 again to go back to minecraft *5.* Press fn+F3+P to turn off pause on lost focus and now you can even tab out! Hope this helped someone :)
For macs: if you click your f3 button, while holding right click' it will take you out of game, when you open window again you will still be clicking, without actually clicking. I have found this by just playing
sweet little system, I'm at max on animals so with my 13 sheep I only used 3 grass blocks in length to keep the 2.1 ratio and they circle just fine, ty, beats shearing each individually :D
+Joshua Muir Yes it is.You are essentially restricting what people can and cannot say simply because someone 'might get offended'. There will always be racists, sexists and all that bad stuff in society, but if you begin to tell these people they can't 'say' those things, then it will only cause these people to attract others to their ideologies. Why you might ask? Well, it is down to the fact that if we allow these people to day what they want, as crazy as it might be, we can use our own rationale and fight it back with logic, but if we ban certain words, phrases etc. then we can't exactly make these people look like idiots, you know? As the saying goes ~ "I might not agree with what you say, but I'll fight to the death to defend your right to say it."
Hey, you should do a video with this guy and integrate your farm inside his statue. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IkAwjtKu9wQ.html I'm currently building his statue and your farm in my realms world. It fits nicely and looks good. I'd say either a joint video or at least mention in in your description. Nice thing to do for each other.
So i've made this, and the stupid sheep keep trying to go backwards.. x.x they go left to right instead of right to left and it takes them AgEs to go around x.X lol i've got about 20 sheep. do i need a load more to make it more productive? By the way... don't breed the little bastards while in this... unless you block off all the small gaps around the sides... freaking sheepy babies everywhere x.X
Had this working fine in 1.11 but after the 1.11.2 update it doesn't seem to work anymore. The sheep all bunch up at the ladders and refuse to climb. Does anyone have this working in 1.11.2?
For a mapartist who wants to play on older servers this is quite helpful, the dispenser sheering you see in modern farms doesn't work in 1.12 and thus you can't really afk fully, though this design is quite a good one and stands out from the rest of tutorials, great video!
Sno, I love the design, and I have made a version with 48 sheep, trying to get three of each color of wool. But my sheep seem to want to walk TOWARDS the water on the top and on the bottom. I didn't see them doing this on your video - do they like to walk towards the water?
Tried this on a server. couldn't get it to work because it killed the sheep. Spent over 6 hours trying to place them just perfectly to make it work but it just kept killing them.
I have a slight problem, a great quantity of the sheep don't grow their wool out until they are ready to get sheard again, there are plent of grass for them to eat too. Do you know how to fix the problem?
you could set the sheer key to a # on the numpad and if you hold the key while you turn off the numlock you will continue to hold till you turn it back on and push the button (only problem is if you tab out of the game it will also stop)
GUYS TO KEEP THE MOUSE BUTTON PRESSED PRESS THE MOUSE BUTTON AND TAKE IT OUT OF THE USB WORKED FOR MY WIRED DESKTOP MOUSE AND ALSO WITH MY WIRELESS USB MOUSE
you might need to face the door the other way because theres a chance that the shears from the dropper could land there. not sure if that changes anything but better safe than sorry
Anyone know why I would die while AFKing in this? Came back after letting this go overnight to find I had died at some point. Fortunately most of my stuff landed in one of the hoppers and didn’t despawn. But how did it happen? None of the blocks are broken and the little room was sealed. Sheering doesn’t deplete hunger and lightning wouldn’t have done enough damage to kill me.
If anyone is here from the aquatic update you will quickly realize not all of this works I am currently redesigning parts of it and will share with you guys if what I come up with works.
Claudia Gotthardt If they won't climb, you probably don't have enough sheep. But if they bunch up together, that's a different problem. In that case, you need to have a short water stream on the lower level that pushes them toward the ladder. I'm thinking of putting out a tutorial for it soon.
