FYI- this doesnt work on bedrock. i seriously havent found a villager converter for bedrock that isnt from like 1.18. not this guys fault, but i did waste a ton of time.
Hey Chapman 👋. I am a long time lover of your content. Still to this day I am absolutely elated when that notification pops up that a new Chap vid has dropped. I love your farms, your hardcore series, the 1 block series, even a cpuple Vods of you playing things other than Minecraft, generally just you and your energy. I am sure it can't always be easy working on these videos for us out here on the net, but from the bottom of my heart (and many more I am sure) THANK YOU.
if your zombie isn't attacking the villagers its because you are his target, to change that u can place a glass block on top off the work block your using, this will prevent the zombie from targeting you and hitting the villager instead. Changing the button that control the glass block on zombie head for a lever its better.
It’s ridiculous that you don’t have more subs. Keep it up, Chap. It is this subscribers opinions that you are one of the absolute best Minecraft RU-vidrs. Entertaining, practical, clever. You sir, are a pleasure to watch.
Just built it in Java 1.21.3 and it works like a charm. Thanks for the great tutorial. Keep up the good work. Now I need to build a good place to send all those cured villagers. BTW, I have the same issue with the zombie only partially beating the villager. Going to replace the button with a lever as mentioned in the comments and see if that works. If that doesn't work, I'll just live with the first world problem of pressing the button 4-5 times. I think I can also give the zombie a beefy sword to reduce the time required to infect the villager.
Be advised that in 1.20.3 or .4 some of the villager rebalance stuff was added like not being able to recure villagers for cheaper trades. Get your villagers trading setup before 1.20.3 So you'll be good when you update.
The rail arrangement for the curing station is directional! That means if you set it up running east-west, it will not work. it has to be set up running north-south. If you have it set up wrong, instead of going all the way to the end, the zombie villager will get stuck on the middle two rails. Good luck!
im in hard, build everything as follows, zombie only sometimes attacks villager when i press the button and doesnt keep attacking, not sure what to do besides spam the button
Villagers have a schedule, where they can only take new jobs during certain periods of time per minecraft day. 1200 is the work period I always set the time to when I'm testing in creative to get them to take jobs instantly, but in survival you have to wait. It helps to replace the block during that valid time of day.
@@rhugarr Even with it set to hard there is a very small chance the villager dies instead of being converted but the villager has to be injured for that to happen.
@@shaydedj According to the Minecraft wiki: "If any type of zombie kills a villager, there is a chance for the villager to transform into a zombie villager. Easy: 0%, Normal: 50%, Hard: 100%" The only way they would die in hard mode is if you didn't give them a job before hand and they despawn
So I am having one issue after curing the villager they hop out of mine cart and just run around. Is there any fix for it? or is there any other contraption i can do to put them back into mine cart?
i am on 1.20.4 paper version on server(hard mode) but when zombie kills villiger he doesn't transform into zombie villiger. Is that because of server or what??
I can not for the life of me figure out what the trapdoor does in this design, I'm sure it fills a function. But what? D'X Thanks in advance if any kind soul would fill me in if you know.
It is used to stop the villager in front of the zombie. When the villager is in the cart, He is tall enough to hit his head on the trap door, thus (lol) stopping him right in front of our zombie...
@@Chapman_Farms OH! I didn't catch that the moment it turns in to a zombie villager it gets shorter o.o I for some reason assumed the zombie villagers still had the same hitbox as normal villagers.. Thanks for the reply! I was about to do some janky stuff with activator rails if you hadn't cleared this up X'3
@@Chapman_Farms Hmm, It's really not working for me at all... The villager just tries to escape from the zombie and drives the minecart right through the trapdoor.. which is very strange as it even does this when the zombie has the glass block in it's head, at which time the villager and zombie shouldn't even have line of sight I wouldn't think. I'm playing on the latest java release with sodium and some other fps mods, but nothing that would impact this I don't think 🤔
