Thanks Nick! I was surprised to find anything at some of those sights. They’ve been pounded for years by a lot of different detectors. That little coil is able to pick out targets that I just can’t hear with my larger coils.

Your method sounds just like mine. I usually cherry pick a site first with my CTX, then go back clean up the last few targets with the Nox. I think having an FBS machine and a MultiIQ machine is a great combination.

Man, I love that little 6" coil. Stays on my Nox all the time. But its not so much because it separates better (the 11"er separates pretty dang good IMHO), but because its so small its able to get in between junk like a laser beam. Plus, it makes pinpointing so dang easy. It makes the detector so light that it feels like swinging a stick and you still get very good depth with it. An excellent accessory in my opinion. As for a comparison to the Deus, I think they're extremely close in separation with a very slight edge going to the Deus. I think the Deus does a little better in older relic sites that are blanketed with iron. However, I think the Nox is more versatile as it works better for me on sites that have a lot of modern trash (its absolutely killer for curb strips!), and its completely waterproof. One other advantage the Nox has is simultaneous multi frequency. Running multi, it hits both high conductors and tiny low conductors equally well. With the Deus, to be sure you're getting the same targets, you'd have to hunt an area running at a high frequency to get all the tiny low conductors, then hunt it again in a lower frequency to make sure you're not missing a 10" silver dime that you probably can't hear using the higher frequency. I'd set up a test bed and compare them on some difficult targets. Might be that you just need some time to adjust to the Nox. In both tones, ID and function, its a whole different animal than what you're used to. The XP is a lot more sparky while the Minelab is more smooth and mellow, but both separate very well. Give it a little more time. I think you might grow to love it! Question: What do you have your iron bias set at? Or if you're using F2, what it is set at? This is basically like the silencer setting on the Deus. Setting it too high will hurt separation. How about recovery speed? As for programs, Park 2 and Field 2 separate better than Park 1 and Field 1.

Thanks Terry! I have a set of video glasses for showing first person views. They’re called GoGloo E7s. On this video I was switching back and forth between those an my iPhone. I also have a head mounted GoPro but haven’t been using it much lately.

Hey thanks for the tip Roy. I was mostly just trying to get it opened up enough to read the marking on the inside, but since I was doing it the wrong way it snapped into.

if they are going to snap it will be on the joint if its been sized but at least you can get the shape back
