Thanks for another informative vid. For beach and shallow water hunting I use a Tubetubb. It has skids and is easy to use on the beach as well as in the water. Finds are much easier to locate and we all know time matters. Thanks again.
Paul can you do some comparisons with the manticore and equinox against the ctx 3030. I would like to see if the 3030 can here what these new machines can pick up especially on low numbers( gold) I appreciate that you let us here the tones your digging also. Please don’t stop doing that
Went to 2 beaches in Florida and did not even find a nickcle. Watched RU-vid and set up the same. Could I have a defective detector? Just rec'd as a gift and first
Wuss a little bit of drizzle :) Thats nothing compared to last week down Bournemouth. Where was that last beach as seems nice :) Few bits for the 900 and you kept that quiet :) HH. Mal
Hi Paul, thanks for the settings and especially live finds and changing settings before digging...helps to compare! My issue is the FE....you seem to be able to cancel that bottle cap at 6....I can't cancel anything even at 9. Do you think mine is defective? I hunt beach, 2 tone and the coil size doesn't matter. I've tried air test and inground tests and FE doesn't seem to do anything. I just want to be sure I'm not overlooking something before I return mine. Thanks. P.S...I've seen another video of someone having the same problem.
it is possible that some new bottletops have a high content of non ferrous in them, which the FE wont work with as it dosnt have the iron content of cheap bottletops, the FE on the 900 no works in a similar way to the lower ferrous limits on the manticore,
Thanks. I just can't get the FE to cancel anything, no matter what kind of cap, nail or tiny bit of iron scrap, nothing gets cancelled. I saw another video where he demonstrated a Corona cap being cancelled at FE 6, same setting as you used, and I believe that's how it should work, but mine won't do that. Very frustrating which is why I don't think mine is working properly. @@paulcee
How's it going.... Paul, I wanted to ask you a couple questions regarding the 900.. can you explain why you would rather use Beach 1 on the wet beach than Beach 2? I see your using the Manticore quite a bit.. do you prefer the Manticore over the 900? And a quick third question.. do you always ground balance on the beach . Thank you I know that's a lot, I would just like to get your opinion and thoughts. Thanks SBD
hi mate, i usually use both of them and the vanquish, depends on what mood im in.. on the dry sand i dont bother just set it at 0 and let the detector do the work
Hello!I am from Russia and we are very interested in new metal detector. You could do a depth comparison test between Minelab Manticore,XP Deus 2,Minelab Equinox 900 metal detectors. We would be very grateful to you, believe me, this is very interesting.
Yes the ctx is better than then 800 but if you want faster recovery and more then the manticore is the way to go. But the ctx 3030 is still an excellent detector
the lower numbers are not as conductive as the higher numbers. thin copper/lead/foil etc, comes in the lower numbers so that is not valuable unless you collect tons of it
Ive heard the 900 has vdi range 1 to 99....can you change settings so its set up like the 800 for vdi of 1 through 39 ......if not it would be confusing to make the switch from 800 to 900
I agree. If you have a 800 then there’s no point getting the 900. You only paying extra for the extra coil, vibrate mode and light, most who have the 800 have already bought the carbon shaft. The 900 is more suited to those with the 600. And if your doing beach’s you need the 15” If your gonna upgrade the manticore is the one to get.
