im thinking running multi freq on our fields in england would be the best mode for skimming/cherry picking... but im also thinking it will loose serious depth on small items..... field mode with a low target rejection might be a bit to unstable on sparky ground(noisy) even more so in 40khz...i just hope there is a happy medium that is sensitive enough for hitting small items at depth while the machine is running smoothly....be interesting to hear your take on the settings kidda...:) also the addition of the module is a very good gesture by minelab for running your own head phones, i hope its a gesture rather than them knowing there head phones are rubbish like previous minelab headphones...lol also and finally...lol im worried about this 12 hour battery life, as batteries get older and have lots of use they deplete over time, and at 12 hours on the margin of full hunts in time lines, this may present a problem....the main reason i loved minelab was removable batteries... i didnt think minelab would fall into the xp trap and start putting integrated batteries into machines...its a bad idea that will cost us and them given time...the simple aspect of having a spare on your person in the field is more than ample for a peace of mind....rather than worrying if you charged it right or watching the battery meter fall as you detect.... ive personally had no end of trouble with my xp deus and the built in batteries...nothing worse than arriving at a dig after doing 3 to 4 hours driving and seeing your machines half charged,,,,;-o my solution would be that minelab develop a clip on power bank as a back up power unit and a charging supply while you detect... to have on your person if needed, and with the low capacity the battery already has at 12 hours, i think it would be a major game changer to this machine.... i hope this is the last of the integrated batteries from minelab, and im pleased the new pin pointer hasn't followed suit... ive ordered both and im keen to see whats what with this machine;-) ps external wire on shaft.......really? lol

@Matthew Hayslett i covered the minelab nox in my second of last video bud, basically its a cheaply made/engineered, noisy lazy attempt at a quick cash grab, it has some redeeming features in the software and the tech it runs but over all i feel its very over priced for what it is... for companies to make machines with the battery already built in is a money saving manufacturing step that they have implemented, but its at the cost to the consumer, perhaps people wont see it straight away but they will in time further down the line when the battery fails, a battery is a consumable item, even a rechargeable one, very expensive machines should not have these built in! also with the building the battery's into the machine they are creating a shelf life for that machine so when it fails and your warranty runs out(of witch the machines battery will be designed to last longer than the warranty provided) you have to either pay them a fortune to have it replaced or buy another, either way its cheaper for them both ways, if people don't highlight that and say what they want they will just carry on making them in this way across the board, its just a cash grab...lol xps original batteries were very good then they switched to a cheap china battery and it cost them so much money as so many failed, they switched back to their original in house battery...speaking of witch i have the hd white xp coin with battery that is external and mounts in the shaft and its the best xp battery ive had yet! its funny that isnt is...lol minelab is a company close to my heart being a ctx3030 owner, i absolutley love my ctx as its the best all round machine ive ever used, its not just minelab thats jumping on the internal battery band wagon as they are all doing it to save money at our expense, if minelab stuck with the external battery they would have kept their loyal customers, but going the cheap route in the design and manufacturing (malaysia) minelab will defo pay the price in the not so distant future. i have bought my dad two pairs of the ms 3 garret headphones module system and both have failed, so garrett wireless headphones are terrible too in my book and wont last, again....integrated batteries are to blame...xp is the only company to have put really good batteries in their machines that actually last, but even they tried the cheap china variants for a short spell of time...lol me personally, i would go old school all the way until the big companies start seeing sense and going back to engineering removable power plants in their machines... people will defo cotton on in time, it just may take them some time as people in general are quite thick....pmsl i work in engineering and i have also worked in design engineering in the past as i was a draftsman, so i know all about design engineering and i can see how bad the new machines truly are...
Can't understand Minelab including the WM08 with a detector billed as waterproof. The WM08 is not waterproof. The included wireless headphones are not waterproof either. And I question why the WM08 is called wireless when it has to be connected to headphones with a wire? I've asked Minelab USA these questions and received no answer.
@Matthew Hayslett That may be one way to use it, but the main attraction in the term "wireless" to me is NO cords/wires. And Minelab sells the 800 with wireless headphones which work good - why include an expensive attachment that is not necessary? In fact you have to use a cord with the wireless headphones if you want to use the WM08. This is crazy. They claim the response time is shorter when you do this but I bet NOBODY can actually hear the difference.

No idea on the release date, but my latest prototype is close to the release model. There a subtle refinement; a cover on the headphone socket and a slotted detector stand (arm cup) to take accessories like battery banks.
So the equinox connect s direct to the ml80 Bluetooth headphones. And also connect s via Bluetooth to the wm 08 for what purpose.Ml suck how they control their products like this. The only way other standardised btooth headphones "MAY" work is via carrying more shit?!
I received several, two in English and probably 6 or more in other languages. My English words all rubbed off from normal use. They could (and hopefully will if they haven't already) print the wording on clear from the back side, then print the black over the white, and then apply the adhesive and it will never wear off.
How the bloody hell have you come up with that? Im a Deus user by the way and ex ctx user but cant wait to get hold of an equinox as it looks to tick every metal detecting requirement. Love the deus speed but the build quality of Minelabs have always been so good.They have addressed the speed requirements,the weight,its waterproof/submersible ,copes with wet sand and its cheaper than a full deus now tell me where Minelab have gone wrong???
