I never thought I could part with my Nox 800 but when I got the Manticore, I was blown away! The target trace is a game changer. I'm using "depth" audio theme. The way it just grabs signals is amazing. Fantastic finds there on what looks looks like brilliant land! Gaz.
Thanks Gaz. There’s something about those minelab tones, you just know something nice is coming out of the ground. The manticore is definitely a step up from the nox for sure but still to this day the deepest hammered I’ve had at 14” was with the nox 800, I’ve got close with the manti so I’m sure it’ll do it

Your aptly named field most definitely lives up to its name! Oh, I learnt something the other day that I never knew. The carbon fibre lower shafts we use on our detectors are conductive and give a signal the same as a target when waved across the coil. And some people using the Manticore are wondering whether the carbon fibre lower shaft affects using higher sensitivity settings. Search RU-vid for Manticore conductive shaft problem and you’ll see some videos regarding just how conductive the lower shaft really is. Admittedly, the problem is much more pronounced in the Goldfield mode. Just seems strange that a highly sensitive detector like the Manticore has a conductive lower shaft which responds to any movement in the coil. Awesome finds and an excellent video!
No way! I will test that myself, surely if the coil and shaft move together it shouldn’t matter like the coil lead? And yes we have a great field, there’s so much to come from it.. if only we could go back in time and see what they were up too😊 I’ll search that up now thanks @anthonywestwood8489👍
@@DIRTBROSDETECTING Yeah, I know what you mean about it shouldn’t make a difference. But they were saying in the Goldfield mode when the shaft titled as they were searching, it was sounding off like a target. I was just surprised that the carbon fibre shaft was conductive in the first place, as I never imagined it would register a signal the same as a find! Try it in Goldfield as well as the other modes, as the signal was banging in the videos that I watched. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more videos of the fibula field to see what else you find!
@@anthonywestwood8489 might explain why I find goldfield unusable then😂 there’s plenty more to come from the Roman field so watch this space, I’ve had military rings, bracelets, coinage, very interesting field! Cheers
