If you have a Vanquish you got to see this.. Bench test with interesting results on gold... make sure you have correct mode if looking for small gold..
Best metal detecting channel on RU-vid especially for tests and reviews alongside great content and Sid has an awesome sense of humour. .sid is an honest Guy he certainly doesn't get paid by other companies to say a metal detector is better than others . . Is it as it is whether you like it or not and that's what I love about Sid and his channel . . Also Sid is very educated especially when it comes to metal detectors he has great tips and and information . . Like subscribe and share . . Show the love :-) :-)
Great video said very informative as always you get it absolutely spot-on when it comes to tests and reviews . . I know you're an honest guy and you're not getting paid buy a company to see which detector is the best . . As I've seen in comments idiot saying the RU-vidrs are getting paid to say that the metal detector is better than the others . . Maybe it does happen but I know that's not your style that's why I trust you when it comes to reviews you say it as it is you're an honest guy . . Thank you :-) :-)
@@michaeltwoodsman4904 na I love me women but sid is a cool Guy and very educated with oodles of information when it comes to metal detectors and history I like his channel I don't like everybody is metal detecting channel some people on RU-vid who have metal detecting channels I'll talk to them but I don't watch their channel because of lots of reasons might be boring I believe some people plant their finds I know one in particular that does but I won't mention their name you can say what you like I've got two kids yes I'm single now but I was in a 12-year relationship
@@michaeltwoodsman4904 why is that because I write a lot of messages . . and you just go on presumption do you that I'm gay . . So who do you want me to respond to Brian lol just make some name up it's Sid's channel of course I'm going to to refer to him when I'm replying to his videos . . I'm guessing you're one of them people that goes tittle-tattle in making up things that are not true and it doesn't take a genius to work out that Sid is married I'm quite a new subscriber and the big hint is sometimes he talks about his wife in the videos and he has a wedding ring on his finger which he has used in tests and reviews on the videos shouldn't have to explain myself but I feel like I have to because it's people like you that spread rumours it's called trolling . . And I'm not your friend
@@michaeltwoodsman4904 you have it bad for me and no I'm not married . . Sorry to tell you this you're not my type and if I was married or in a relationship it would certainly be with a woman as I'm straight . . come to think of it I'm not sure what you have come here for this is a history channel and metal detecting like I said lots of information educational alongside entertainment . . My friend
Absolutely excellent videos. Subbed. I'm buying my first detector this week, can I ask would you buy a vanquish, simplex or other like a garrett 300 etc? Thanks in advance.
Hello there bro... gr8 video clip... I got the 540 pro... just trying to visualise the strength... of signals when in the ground or sand.... dam impressive above the Ground for sure.. thanks for the demo very Helpful indeed 🤠
Great vid mate, I’ve just picked up the 540 pro pack. I’m a bit confused though; in jewellery mode what sort of tone/numbers should I get on gold? Thanks.
Iffy Signals its not that its weighted more with a higher freq its because the tone breaks are set lower in jewellery mode... all the other modes have a higher tone break... 👍🏼👍🏼
Has to be weighted as well kinda like Park and field 1,2’s on the Nox. I have tested a small piece of gold that it will not even hear in Coin mode (no iron grunt wide open disc) and Jewelry picks it up fine 👍. Give it a shot. TC, Mike
@@IffySignals yeah all the different modes have different weighted freq, and different recovery speeds and disc ect... but the jewellery mode has the lowest tone break set to 0 thats why the small gold will give a good audio in jewellery mode... im still sussing it out fully as only just got mine so not sure yet where the other tone breaks are set... possibly set at 2 like the nox was on most modes as standard
@@englandshistory I'm learning a lot from your videos sid . . you are very educated even more so when it comes to metal detectors you certainly know your onions
One of the better tutorial videos I've seen. I mean really good, especially for newer hunters. And holy mackerel is your accent thick! Are you from Philadelphia? Lol. Seriously tho folks - great video and great channel. In 10 years I'd never 'subscribed' to a channel til this one.
Too many detectors coming out . . I think we should all dig one big hole the next time we are in a field and rummage around it with our pinpointers . . Sorted :-) :-)
i have the 540 too, idk why when I put a gram of raw gold near it it will nottt show anything, not even the iron negative number, how do I fix this? I was planning to use it in a river to find natural raw gold, but it seems like it doesn't really work with those gold....
Did you figure anything out? I returned and exchanged my 540 because I thought it was defective. The new 540 also gives a low iron tone with gold...or no tone at all. Same with pure silver
P.s.... go to the paint store and grab a half dozen or so wood paint stirrer sticks. Glue a different coin and/or metal to the end of each of them - even trash. Order/buy a few different colors of those cheap 12 - 15 inch flags that are used to locate utility lines. First, air test your paint sticks by waiving them like he does here - swinging the end of the stick with the coin in front of the coil. Then bury them, stick on of the flags in the ground, and write what you've buried on the flags, and how deep you buried them. When I go on a hunt, I'll walk fifty yards, sticking flags at every target, different colors for different hits. That way if batteries die or sunlight disappears, I can pack up the detector, pull out my pinpointer, and prioritize which targets to recover first. Next day, if I was able or safe or permitted to leave flags in the ground I can dig them the next day. Unless you live in Alaska and there's no sun - then you're f*cked. Anyway - just sharing ideas and strategies!
hello. got the same problem with gold: tone somewhere around 8 or even lower ! The mode does not really matter, it is a dark, weak tone... so this is normal for the vanquish? I thought the better the metal the higher the number... seems not to be like that then... we used to ignore these low tones, maybe we should start diging when a low one comes up? Confusing machine... especially when the dollar symbol is over the 40 identification number and the gold is somewhere between the earrings and the foil in reality? Gosh :(
Bob Hopkins for me i prefer more features and functions and adjustability but from the testing ive been doing its a good machine.... ideal for people that aint that into settings and adjusting programmes
@@englandshistory like me . . As I said before the settings are so much like the white coinmaster pro GT nice and basic the coin master did have auto ground tracking and beach mode . . Coin master is amazing on the beach to be honest I regret selling it should have kept it for a backup machine
Sod all the air test we know that it will recognise gold it’s a minelab Garret after all let’s see what it can do let’s it in action all we need now is a bright blue pinpointer to go with it LoL 😂 😂😂😂👍gl&hh 👍
At the end of the video I was a tad surprised to hear you no longer have an Equinox. So, I hope I’m not too pertinent asking why you no longer use the Equinox? Since I know you rate its performance very highly? Excellent video as always - your setup descriptions beat any user manual hands down!
@@englandshistory Thanks for answering my query! The X35 and the white high frequency coils definitely add new facets to the Deus, opposed the original coil selection when it was first released. Happy hunting!
Question for anybody . . Has anybody owned and or owns laser Hawkeye . . If so what do you think to the Machine and how do you think it will compare towards other machines equinox 800 XP deus ect ect . . I personally think my lazerhawk I would kick their backsides not sure about the Minelab CTX 3030 I've never used one and I will never own one too complex and heavy for me . . Don't forget the laser Hawkeye now comes with the new 10 inch white coil which is a lot better than the original one
I would like to see the Vanquis up against it's rivalry the nokta simplex . . Personally I think the simplex will be a better all-round machine . . Wait to see your review on that one said I don't think anyone has put one up on RU-vid yet against the Vanquish and the simplex maybe you could do all of the Machines the equinox 800 the XP deus the nokta simplex and of course your new Minelab vanquish . . The last test you did with them three machines I fully enjoyed watching . . My laser Hawkeye I will kick all their asses I can guarantee . . That was going to be my challenge before you but I scrapped the idea ear as you might not be able to get your hands on the laser Hawkeye
@Allan Jensen yes maybe in high mineral but I didn't mention that I'm just talking all round in general . . So I'm guessing you have tested the Vanquish and and the simplex on the beach and in the field . . How do they compare with each other when it comes to depth test especially on coins silver coins bronze coins etc etc
@Allan Jensen very informative and you're a lucky guy to own three beautiful machines . . I went and brought an ex display laser Hawkeye my favourite machine so far have you ever used one and if so what do you think of the machine I would put it against any machines out there are and I've used most machines not all my own apart from the Minelab CTX 3030 which I wouldn't want and couldn't afford not brand new anyway but regardless to that it's not my type of machine too complex for me and I've heard they are very heavy
Anyway you don't need to three machines lol just go and get yourself and XP deus that's the best all round machine out there in my eyes and of course my laser Hawkeye I would put that against any machine . . But I am actually thinking to trade it in or sell it and get an XP Deus
It's that time again LET'S GET READY TO RUBBLE . . in the red corner all the way from Australia we have Minelab team codan Ltd . . In the blue corner all the way from Turkey we have nokta Makro team nokta muhendislik . . Both teams are Undefeated for the World Heavyweight title :-) :-)
Give me the deus with the 9” coil no other detector can beat the weight cids deus deep programme is all you need also the Garret 200 i with a mars sniper coil on is unbeatable in the iron you can winkle small milled silver out of iron undated machine in the right hands
equinox would have given a better tone than an iron tone for gold.and that machine is awful giving an iron tone for gold no ones gona wana dig iron tones all day lol,ive done air tests and ground tests with nox and deus hf and the nox wins everytime deus looses staters over 5 inches,i still think the simplex is unbeatable for the 300 pound range i have personaly seen it pull a gold roman at a foot deep
