I like the izumo-class, is more cheap and have the possibility of be more modular with different parts for more specialized roles XD

arthrun gets the faith title because he is a war hero, so its more of a morale boost to him, as well as a political ploy, similarly, Talia gets the title so he wouldnt be able to out rank her, and since both are of the same rank, and she is the captain of the ship, the title becomes pratically useless on arthrun. its also why Reine was later relocated to the minerva, since kira's assassination failed, Durandal needed a fail safe in case arthrun decided to go back to his side in the conflict. so 2 faith officers could outvote him if he did decide to do anything that would go against his plan. people bash gundam seed destiny for alot of things, but this is one of those things i really enjoyed in the series, all those political plays that arent "in your face" or even overly explained.

As a big fan of the squid, i have to disagree. if anything i would say zeta has some of the best looking ships. and you can see the influence their ship designs had on the rest of the UC. that's not me sayng i hate seed ships, on the contrary, i still think the archangel is the best "white base" redesign, it maintain the same overall ideal, but is just a better looking ship. and what to say about the girty lue? such an awersome redesign of the archangel for space only.

Between Archangel and Minerva, i always choose Archangel because it can be in space, and under sea and act like submarine. Minerva is powerful battle ship but it second if compared to to Archangel

The in-universe reason for the impulse being three different machines is because of the treaty they signed after the seed, which limited the amount of MS they could carry on each ship.

Imo, comparing with the archangel, this ship is by far the weakest - archangel has superior firing arc both offence and defense capability - archangel has 2 main positron cannon, if one cannon was cripple, it still could used the other half - minerva 42cm cannon look cool but kind of useless, and need to be retracted in order to used the impulse catapults - minerva Energy Transfer System is a interesting gimmik...but it rarely used and 95% of the time, not only 3 out of 5 gundam been stolen, the fight is short and full of recycle footage and usually return just for repairs. - the only good trait about minerva is that, she got a competent captain Talia Gladys , too bad the plot armor is too strong for her and the ship to handle

yeah, but archangel's positron cannons arent that good for atmospheric use. compared to the tanhauser.

@@marcosdheleno that true, the archangel placement of the cannon is questionable, while Minerva is pretty straightforward.

@@alternative915 i dont think the problem is the placement, since there are 2, it actually works better in that setup, as it means a higher chance of hitting a target. the real problem is that im pretty sure the main guns of the archangel cant be used on earth.

@@alternative915 have to disagree on your third point about 42 cm cannon its not useless in the anime it never needed to be retracted when using the impulse catapult because the catapult position is simply higher than the cannon and therefore will not blocking the launching of impulse also their cannon is more useful than archangel linear cannon because it can fire sideways while archangel can only fire straight (actually if you tilt archangel 90 degrees angle sideways it can produce similar result but what kind of ship goes to battle tilted 90 degrees) oh also minerva have better defense capabilities with the bridge protective system that lower the bridge during battle to have several protective layer well archangel is superior but not by large margins they can still fight toe to toe and both ship got a f*ck load of f*cking plot armor and minerva is still far from being the weakest instead its one of the best ship on that era

Did it always say ZAFT always had problems making beam weapons, they learned a lot fr the G Weapons.

From what I know ZAFT wasn’t good at making beam weapons while the Earth Alliance was. example was why the GINNs had like old school guns and the crappy Mobies had like beam weapons. ZAFT ships had small beam weapons while the alliance did. So when Destiny came around their were people from Orb living in The PLANTS plus ZAFT learning fr the stolen G Weapons in Seed. They learned to make better weapons so the Isolde is kinda a nod to their past of old school weapons on the Minerva. That’s what I read somewhere once upon a time

Wait, so this ship has a huge useless part if impulse becomes obsolete? Can it launch normal fighter jets instead.

Why would the impulse be obsolete? It's extremely adaptable for Mission types. If anything they would mass produce the impluse and have one per Minerva class at least

Ummm.... you do know that Armory One is located at Lagrange Four, not Lagrange Five right? Also, Rey piloted a Zaku Phantom, not a normal Zaku Warrior. Though you did mention it verbally however on screen was the model number for the Zaku Warrior, not the Zaku Phantom. Still an interesting vid.

I like these ship but after I watched a few gundam anime and most ships are easily destroy by mobile suit which are disappointed consider they have lot of fire power. And why do they have wings? I doubt they able to work like today plane. 😅

I choose archangel because mu la flaga, natarle, and mu la flaga makes such a good trip of leaders. Design wise, I prefer the Minerva--it looks fast and sleek.
