Ian has always wanted to build a Ed "Big Daddy" Roth inspired mini bike trike. He pays homage to "The Mailbox" build done by Big Daddy Roth built in 1965.

Ian worked and studied at a bronze casting foundry as a young man, where he learned to create models, armatures, molds and finished sculptural artwork in all mediums and finishes. Ian is fascinated by the artistic process of sculpture. He brings this knowledge to his car customizations, to his Full Custom Garage TV show audience, and now he brings it to you, his growing RU-vid audience.

Ian. The front axle is supposed to be in the center hole if I'm not mistaken. And the springer part is supposed to be on the foward hole. At least that's what it looks like in the picture I seen for the one I was going to replicate for the quad runner trike. I'm probably wrong though. Cause it's been quite a few years ago

As 80 year old man been around metal work since was very little little boy as my dad was a metal worker and mechanic learn it from doing it and learned as a trade by doing it over seventy five years and learning I'm still learning by watching others for tips and tricks of the trade !! Great job, that was just like the way motorcycle frames were raked, back in the day. Hack off the neck, line it up by eye and tape measure, then weld it up. Trike is going to be super cool when you are done.

You can have a straight rear Axel with only one drive wheel. It's called one wheel peel. Watch cars and cameras for reference. The trike is looking great awesome job.

...what I like about Yan is the way he comes up with solutions, including "nianderthal" tools. What I don't like is very simple, many projects in parallel and therefore few are completed... but I understand that this is the way he works. But as I once said... the Roussel farm (workshop) for me living in Brazil (where everything is absurdly expensive to buy) is a dream lifestyle that after almost 40 years of hard work I am almost able to complete (my automotive projects workshop)

We enjoy watching you create. We have had a channel now for going on 8 years. I love to edit and create great content of us workcamping and nomadic life living in a RV. Now in Durango CO for the summer working then back to DHS California in October. I am from San Fernando Valley always love custom cars. Barris Kustom had his shop in North Hollywood, after church my dad would take me by and I got to see all the cars. I met Dean Jeffery's who had his shop near the Hollywood freeway. Pretty interesting build - I do forget how you get some bounce to the ounce on the forks so standing by. As to the motor would be nice if the pull was to you when you’re sitting but hey your gig. Thanks for bringing us along and bless you both.
