How to Change Your Key Fob Battery: MINI Cooper
So, your key fob remote isn’t working like it used to. Thankfully, replacing the battery in a MINI Cooper key fob is a simple, seven-step process:
Press the small silver button on the side of your key fob and remove the integrated metal key from the remote control.
Pry open the fob casing using the end of your metal key.
Now that your battery compartment is accessible, use your metal key to open it up.
Push the battery toward the center of the circle-shaped fob. This should give it a slight lift and allow you to remove it.
Place a new CR 2032 battery in the open compartment. Make sure that the positive side is facing upward.
Return the battery housing and the key fob cover to their proper places.
Press the metal key back into its housing until you hear a click.
