Fuses and Relays are usually the first thing you wanna check when you have a electrical issue from a headlight to air sensors on the engine . Here is a layout of the fuse box with all the locations I found / discovered . This fuse diagram might be similar if not identical to other cars as well .

Thank you for the thorough video. Just an FYI. I have a 2012 Mini Cooper S R56 N18. The relay @ 1:41 you mentioned is for the fog lights, is also (on my car) the power feed to the ignition coils. I had a "crank no start" issue and after weeks of narrowing the down the problem, I swapped the relay with the one for the windshield wipers (same part number) and the car started right up! The reason I tried that relay is because another Mini Cooper "crank no start" RU-vid video showed the relay was the issue after troubleshooting. Thanks again for your videos. I used them to do my valve cover and gasket, oil change and cleaning the throttle body.

2012 Min Cooper S Countryman here. Great vid, just chiming in that what the relay controlls maybe a variance. On mine the R1 is listed as the DME relay tested verified and next to it is fuse #1 is the fuse for the DME relay. Perhaps the HPFP is intergrated on the same relay, not sure, but just wanted to give some context as their may be a variance between the R60 based on year and region.

I pulled the "black relay" in the fuse box on the passenger side footwell, and my front wipers turned on and I could not turn them off without the relay reinserted. Seems the relay controls the front wipers,

Brilliant. I have a 2013 Countryman One D 1.6 D. Fuel starvation. Garage said it needs a new fuel pump, but worse, it's blown the relay. A local electrician said the fuse box in the engine bay has the fuel pump relay integrated into the fuse box, so, it's not a pull out push in relay, I'll need a new fuse box, about £700. This has really helped, it'll need a £36 push in relay and a few expletives.

Hello does anyone know where the front windscreen relay is. I have a fault code related to this and it's not clear where it is. I'm guessing behind the cover in the footwell? My auto headlights and wipers don't work too. I had a dead battery some months ago and haven't been able to get these functions back

Thanks for the video. Today I had a turn signal sensor light come on. All turn signals provided a fast flashing as a warning (from both the inside of the car and the outside - both front and rear). After about an hour driving, the warning went off and the signals worked perfectly. Any thoughts? What fuse controls the turn signals?

Same problem Kelley, cannot work out which fuse though, di you work it out as my left indicators are still flashing and im getting left rear indictor fault. Have changed globe so it must be the fuse or relay wherever they are? ty

salut. dupa instalarea unu radio Android nu mai am nici o informatie in bord. practic bordul e stins... ce as putea face? este un cablu anumea care se conecta cu "ceasul" original ? au ramas cabluri neconectate dupa instalarea sistemului android, dar nu ar trebui sa influenteze controlul din bord. practic nu am indicator viteza, indicator semnalizare (chiar daca semnalizarile functioneaza pe exterior), si celelalte info computer de bord.. ma poti ajuta te rog?

Thank you for all the detail you have provided which is most appreciated! Just wondering, what fuse would be for the remote keyfob, which for me is not working. I have checked the battery which is showing up as 3v, so assuming the issue is the fuse, though unsure of the location. Thank you!

@@abubakarjabbo1773 in the end it wasn't a fuse. I needed a replacement keyfob. The battery was replaced though the issue was not resolved, hence trying the new keyfob, which was the answer. I didn't go through BMW as they were charging silly money just to make an appointment.

I think you might've gotten fuse FL9 wrong. I have a '14 Clubman and was getting an error 0031ED through the Carly app (Electric fan drive power stage 2: line break), and my AC compressor was not kicking on. The engine bay fuse block has a diagram that looks like a fan with a "II" beside it for FL9. I moved the fuse from FL10 (both are 50A), and now my AC works. In your video, you call it the rear screen defroster which is the symbol on FL10. ABS is FL6 as you point out, so there are two blanks and then FL9 in your video. I am assuming your rear defrost does actually work though, right?

Does the radio have a hidden fuse behind the head unit? I went thru and checked all the fuses and they were ok. but radio wont play and telephone doesn't either. Only thing can get to is the config and shows temp etc. But that is it.

Fuse 52 and 53 are for headlights, would one be for high beam and other be for low beam? I have factory xenon lights and my highbeams don't work. The blue light on the dash comes on but thr light doesn't change.

More likely are left and right. If your hi beam or low beam doesn't work, then it could be your light bulb.

commenting for future answers, my beams work fine but the high beams dont turn on. dashboard indicator light turns on however there is no change to the lights.
