Hopefully this video helps you with you Mini adventure! Here’s a link to the ECS Tuning MINI Cooper R55-R61 Metal Water Pipe Upgrade: www.ecstuning....
I am purchasing this after I get this oil leak issue under control. I think I have valve stem issue at the moment. Trying to bullet proof and go with a setup similar to yours. Good video!
You already know, let me know if you need guidance or anything. I have that valve stem seal video I posted on my channel that I did, it’s pretty in depth
I had to replace my thermostat housing leaking like crazy, then the car ran perfect after going through ALL THIS CRAP, now two weeks later it’s leaking in the area of the water pipe!!!!! Anyone reading this if you ever do you housing DO THE WATER PIPE AT THE SAME TIME! They should sell these two parts as one! That way everyone would just know to add an extra 10 minutes to this painfully horribly tedious job.. unreal!!!! I still like my mini but damn it loves to keep you busy!
I just bought one of those ECS metal water pipe because I have check engine light about my thermostat stuck open and I couldn't find any videos to see if it's a good hose. Thanks verifying that it works. Also, I'm not sure if the check engine light about my thermostat will cause my AC, heater and my heated seats to stop working? I checked the fuses and they look good. Also, my windows don't go down anymore and I believe you have a video about the footwell module is the cause of that. My other question to you think It's the footwell module cause my AC, heater and my heated seats not to work?
Heated seats and such should still work even with a bad footwell module I wanna say but I could be wrong Thermostat being suck won’t allow heat into the cabin
Would pulling the intake manifold help get to the crossover pipe? At least removing the nuts at the head and leaving everything else attached, should give you about 4-6 inches of clearance. That's what I had to do to get to the intake VANOS solenoid on mine.
