That new panelling looks quite neat. Interessting to see that they have kept the original fixtures, these often end up beeing replaced too.

I am really surprised they kept the dover logo. Usually with a mod like this, when they keep original Impulse panels they put either a TyyssenKrupp logo or the company that maintains the elevator logo on in place of the Dover logo.

I often see in the netherlands that they replace the fixtures too. I don't mind it when it's modernised by the orginial manufacturer (who use nice, good quality parts), but I don't like mods done by generic companies who bodge in cheap DMG or Dewhurst fixtures.

Looks awesome Andrew! Wish I lived in Virginia because I would visit this place all the time! I'm a least happy it was not modded because all of the Dover Elevators are slowly being modded or ripped out sadly.

This is an amazing elevator I like your channel and you do a lot of interesting things like Dover elevator i remember that you got stuck in the elevator at the market parking garage I am including the Dover elevator at the Center in the Square and the The nice view up on the six floor here at the marking parking garage and the center in the square😊

Looks like a Dover (now ThyssenKrupp) from the late 1980s or early 1990s originally that has been remodeled inside.

I might have missed something or not. So how does one access the hotel? Go to the 6th floor and walk to the hotel elevators or did they put in separate elevators just for the hotel?

They put in seperate elevators for the hotel that only serve the lobby and the guest floors above the parking garage

Well actually the call button on the 6th floor of the 2nd elevator does not work. But the call button lights up though. Why is the bell indicator on the 2nd elevator is upside down? Red for up for down & Green for down for up.

The second elevator only indicators G, 4 and 6 works! 1, 2, 3, and 5 are burned out. on the only second elevator.

Lol the market garage looks like the vistana in San Antonio a bit but not really. Their elevators are 4 floors in the parking garage and also the apartment part and they are thyssenkrupp.

I don't know. Sure, those cabs look really nice, but I think it would have been wise to replace the fixtures and car panels as well. I like that they're keeping the old Dover equipment in, but it's not going to last forever. With the Hampton Inn there now, those elevators will likely see a significant increase in traffic, meaning more wear and tear on the buttons. Since ThyssenKrupp is already working in the hotel, they should come on out to the garage and give these elevators a few hours of time as well. At the very least, the car panels could use a good cleaning, and the 6th floor lockout switches should be removed at some point.

Did anyone else notice that on the second elevator, the directional arrow has been fitted the wrong way up? When Andrew pressed the down call button, the up arrow lit up, but it was red, not green. Obviously the unit is the wrong way up.

Yep. I saw that. Park Roanoke now has two things to fix. The broken call button and that arrow glitch.

DieselDucy I know, but with the New stainless steel finishing in the elevator I was expecting them to do something about that emergency phone door, because I thought that was stainless steel as well.
