Of course! I got them from a friend who works at a local dealer. They replace them with more complex ones with auxiliary switches/buttons when they add more functions. So he got them before they were inevitably thrown out. I will talk to him about the particular model, but I believe Komatsu has a universal joystick.
@@losrussets8945 Cool, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to toss your buddy some cash and get him a shipping label if he has another set. Thanks!
@@weekendhack.whatsnext Ok. I called him up, turns out he has no more of them. But he says they are standard on all mid size Komatsu excavators. Here is the link to the whole kit. All you really need is the handles. Not sure where to find just them. www.ebay.com/itm/353730276251?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=353730276251&targetid=1263094003826&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9017210&poi=&campaignid=14859008593&mkgroupid=130497710760&rlsatarget=pla-1263094003826&abcId=9300678&merchantid=421400140&gclid=CjwKCAjwsMGYBhAEEiwAGUXJadKMG4VUigGKNGqbPow6Lp2s1CFoqqASyxCLW-M06eJR9HH1u9NCoRoCSkUQAvD_BwE
Good luck to you as well. Having a machine shop at my disposal makes these jobs affordable. I actually could buy lots of parts from bobcat, but I made them with scraps.
Great question. We bought the mini early last summer, and unfortunately, we could not tear into it then, it would not make any sense. So we just ran the machine for the summer. I figured with all of the custom work that we were gonna do to overhaul the machine, I would film a couple of videos of us repairing it. On another note, we believe that it may have been a rental machine in its past life. But it only has a supposed 2800 hours on it or so. Being that it's 20 years old, I almost don't believe it could've been a rental. So we really don't know why it was so trashed. If you have any theories don't be afraid to comment them, I honestly have no clue. The machine was well greased, but the bushings were also worn as you may see from the other videos that I posted. Perhaps the equipment lot slopped it full of grease to make the sale. I will probably be releasing a video that shows us reupholstering the seat as well. That will pretty much be the last of the overhaul that it really needs in the cab, but overall, it has come a long way. Thanks for watching!
I will post one sooner than later. I have more work to come on it when the season is over. We are also looking into buying a bigger one. Maybe some more coming down the pipeline!
