Mini F56 How to fit the plastic Eventuri Intake what I think of it? Is it as good as the carbon one

Great instructional video! I have a Cravenspeed cold air intake on my F56 but have been thinking about the Eventuri as well. It's nice to know there is a cheaper option. Have you noticed a difference in performance with yours?

Be interesting to know the weight difference. I think I have seen a video of Petrol Ped once which suggested the carbon version was actually heavier than the plastic one (which would mean the plastic version gives you a better power to weight ratio)

I've seen a few of these second hand for sale, was always tempted but they always have issues with the carbon scoops lacquer peeling or the parts are badly scratched up. How did you come across this one? What about the MMR or Forge intake pipes, would you recommend them or are they a waste of money?

Probably a stupid question but new to modding my f50 mini....I've bought a cone ram air filter and plan to do away with the air box completely but will be wanting to add a bonnet vent directly above and before the filter to max the air intake to the filter but and this is where I might seem thick what about when it's raining and your traveling at speed? Doesn't it shoot rain straight into the filter and into the engine? I will also be adding a vent to the left side of the bonnet to allow for faster heat release but obviously any rain will simply turn to steam. The different vents on either side will look uncemetrical but I think that will look pretty cool.

I'm confused. Do you have a custom grille here? The center piece isn't usually a honeycomb it's like a solid black bumper guard. Yours looks like it has the GP3 grille except it's not.

is the eventuri filter preoiled? im waiting for mine, should arrive next week

Hey I installed the plastic eventuri intake on my 2023 jcw countryman and I have the check engine light. Should I be concerned? I'm scare for my brand new car is this ok

Hi, Did you have any problems after installing and using it? style engine light too much air fault etc?? I don't really want to do a repro on the car. I had this problem on my BMW after several months of using the eventuri I had the engine fault and engine light. I then took it off…😢

No start up sound ? Or turbo flutter ? 😢

is this air intake good for rain ?

Do you really think a ram air inlet helps with a turbocharged car ?! The standard inlet pulls the air from the pressure area in front of the main cooler - right ?

That front piece doesn't appear to integrate very well with the the filter housing. No satisfying snap to let you know it's sealed. It doesn't look like the seal is complete.

Personally I am over the whole carbon fiber look. That plastic option is fine, And if you want it to look pretty. Get a color matched engine paint and start painting the plastic bits to match the color of the car. Looks pretty and different from everyone else.

Carbonfibre originally is strength hence the possibility to manufacture of a lighter part withstanding all the forces . The looks side is BS anyway…

Give it time and you'll realise the poor quality once it has been warm a few times but even now the badge isn't pressed in properly on yours and when they come out its a whole. 😂 they aren't worth the money. I'd also watch for the cotton that seals the top air holes for the scoop to come unstitched. I've mentioned these things to evolve, and he said we know, and that was that. I'm not one to complain either, but the price doesn't match the quality.
