I bought one of these a year ago with the intentions of chopping up a 4WD quad and putting that drive line in when the factory drive line crapped out. But I've been impressed with how well these hold up. I think I am going to be running this a while before anything significant breaks.
Love all your mods! I just got started modding mine in January. So far...light bar, winch, mini fuse box (under hood), toggle button panels (on dash) and mud flaps on fenders and running boards ( to keep the mud, snow and rain out of my face!) Oh yea, M2 Machine Gun (Nerf Gun of course) mounted to the "grab bar" of windshield... see my RU-vid Video... "Mini Jeep (125cc), Mounting Light Bar with a surprise)" on my RU-vid channel. It was about $59 and took about 10 days to arrive from China ( I bought an extra "belt" with extra darts for an extra $10). The M2 came painted in green, blue and yellow. I chose to repaint all the blue and yellow sections flat black. Not sure what the neighbors are thinking when they see me coming down the road but I do get a lot of stares! The Nerf darts only fly about 10 feet but it adds to the overall fun of the mini jeep! Couldn't find the M2 on Amazon but located it on Ebay. They have a U.S. based warehouse but don't stock the M2,...gotta order from China. Have fun with yours!
Thank you. We have had a lot of fun with ours. I watched your videos I really like the running boards and nerf gun, I may have to pick one of those up.
Hey! I love all the upgrades you did to it!! I love that License plate! Where did you get it from? Also, did you add a bigger battery to it? Nice ride!
We're u able to get it registered to drive it legally in Idaho on the roads? Thanks. Also have you had any problems with transmission leaking? We just bought one yesterday and it's already leaking pretty bad.
I havent tried getting it registered for road use. I drive in my neighborhood and off road. No issues with anything leaking on mine. definitely change out the oil it was shipped with, it's junk. I bought mine from venom motorsports, and the support has been good. I just had an issue with my ignition switch and they were quick to answer. I'd definitely contact whoever you bought it from if it's leaking.
You can find the cup holder on my website idaho3dprinting.com The shifter can be found at www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/Single_Stick_Shifter_Boot/Transfer_Cases_78yr
i have a question about this jeep. I just got mine and put it together yesterday. The problem i am having is the smell coming from the muffler, it is too strong. Because the muffler is in the front it feels very strong. Can you please tell me if this problem is because it is a new machine? will this ugly odor go away soon? i have been thinking about running a pipe to the back of the car. Please tell me what is your advice.
The smell will go away, mine had the same problem. They put oil on everything for shipment and storage. It took a few hours for the oil to burn off. Also make sure and put fresh oil in the engine. The stuff they use is garbage.
It was $70 from Amazon but no longer available. It is a nicoko 4ft whip, but is now $130 direct from thier website. The nilight brand from Amazon looks about the same. Look for one with a quick disconnect, makes it nice for travel or storage.
I purchased the lights from ebay but I would not recommend them. I like them and they work great. But they were very difficult to install and I had to make a few extra parts to make them fit correctly.
