There is NO SUCH THING as a pig that stays small. A healthy Mini Pig should be between 100-200 lbs fully grown by 5 years old. Sammy was born with a genetic eye disorder so he was unable to be an outdoor Pig and only wanted to be indoors. He is paper trained and has been for 15 years. He is such a joy to have around and absolutely loves all his animal brothers and sisters 💕 Mini Pigs are highly intelligent animals and it is like having a toddler in your house for the rest of its life. A Mini Pigs life span is usually 15 to 20 years. all the stupid people in the comments... Pigs are a domesticated species. This IS a “”mini pig”” but that isn’t the correct term. A pot bellied pig is the average breed kept as pets. They are incredibly smart, loving animals who ENJOY to keep themselves clean and are capable of learning tricks like a dog. They are like owning a dog that is as smart as a child, it is not disgusting or crazy, and the names you are calling this woman are dreadful and you should feel bad. She doesn’t “need a man”, she is dedicating time and money to an animal who brings her comfort and loves her. That’s like saying any man who has a dog he loves is lonely and insane. She seems to take exceptional care of him and he seems very happy.

You are 100% correct how mini pigs are potbelly pigs or Potbelly mixes. There's no such thing as a pig that stays tiny. So I use the words mini pig quite a bit throughout my channel to raise awareness of the mini pig myth. Sammy is almost 14 years old and he is a true Vietnamese pot-bellied pig. He's 150 lbs and that is a normal healthy weight for a mini pig. Funnily enough pigs tend to be rather clean animals, they just get the reputation of being messy cause of how they practically inhale food after burying their noses in it and their love of mud baths when kept outside in most farms (which can be cleaned off if you need too in the same way messy dogs rolling around do) Honestly in terms of smell dogs are worse off

Pigs do not belong in the house! Yes they are cute when they are babies but not so when they are grown up. They can weigh up to 250 pounds, much smaller then a regular pig, they don’t smell all that great. I myself am not into eating pork but I did know a man that raised these for food.
They're sayin pig's arent dirty, well i've owned several over the years, maybe the one kept inside and babied their whole lives arent nasty but ones raised outside eat dirt and piss and shit in mud and then wallow in it all day, no that aint dirty

The Breeders lie to get money and they tell people to starve them to keep them small and then there insides keep growing but the outside doesn't and they suffocate and die 💔 Sammy 13 years ago was advertised as a mini teacup micro pot belly pig. I was told he would not get more than 35 lb. And back then I didn't know any better and I believed her

Too many pigs are being rehomed every single minute because the Breeders tell the customer that they're buying a mini pig that won't get bigger than 35 lb. There is no such breed. Sammy was sold to me as a mini micro teacup pot belly pig. So I don't want anybody else to get fooled. Only 3% of mini pig owners keep their pigs from beginning to end. 97% of them or sent to a shelter a sanctuary or get bounced around for most of their life from home to home. They are so smart and they grieve when their owners give them up.

Except they are not supposed to be over wight like this one is if they are kept on a good healthy diet/schedule they will not get as far as this one is. People buy pigs have them in there house and think it's ok to feed them as much as they want but that's not good for them that's why this pig is fat.
