It made me cry too. This pig is living such a happy joyous life, while so many other pigs live in total hell, stuck in tiny crates, getting physically abused, and then slaughtered inhumanely. This pig spends most of his time grunting joyously in bliss while those pigs spend most of their time screeching in terror and agony. Where is the justice? Those pigs have the exact same sentient abilities as the pig in this video yet won't ever have the rights to live the safe privileged life surrounded by love and completely free from harm that the pig in this video is blessed with. I wish so much that more pigs could have better lives. I wish so much for pig abuse and inhumane slaughter to end. It matters. Pigs are very sentient and really know how to experience what's around them. It's why their experiences must be good

@@brierobinson194, pigs are very sensitive and emotional, and they can feel both the most happy joy and most extreme terror, and it all depends on what's happening to them. Pigs don't usually swing emotions on their own like humans do because they are so simple. With pigs, it's simply about where they are and what they are experiencing. Pigs are obviously miserable and terrified beyond imagination when getting physically abused and harmed, going to slaughter, and stuck in those horrible tiny crates. And, almost everytime I've seen pigs in a sanctuary where they see that they're safe, are having plenty of space, getting fed well, rolling in mud, and getting belly rubs, they look to be in total bliss. It's not really asking that much what gives pigs their simple joyful happiness. It's why it's so heartbreaking how many pigs in this world are denied that

After giving it much thought, I would like to amend that, and believe me, I know I will probably receive lots of negative feedback, and it would just be so much easier for me to just hit the delete button & not take any heat however, I feel this message is important enough that if just one person understands it, it's worth me taking the risk. So here goes my disclaimer, I DO NOT, NOR HAVE I EVER, NOR WOULD I EVER CONDONE ANIMAL ABUSE. That being said, it's easy to love dogs and all animals because they're such cute, furry, cuddly bundles of love, what's not to love?! 🤷 It's EASY to love the "loveable". What's HARD is loving the UNlovable. That's the really hard part. Having empathy & showing compassion for the worst of the worst of us. I imagine that when God sees how we (humans) treat one another, He probably feels towards us much the way we (animal lovers,) feel towards people who abuse & neglect animals. We get ANGRY. But God says He is "slow to anger" (whew! thank God for that!) We like to say, "We (humans) don't deserve dogs" (true!) But what we're REALLY undeserving of is God's love for us. I'm not saying we have to love bad people, but we kind of have to have enough love in our heart to pray for them,. and even to pity them and have compassion. Besides the 10 Commandments, Jesus gave an 11th Commandment that He said was most important: "Love ye one another". If we believe that, and strive to be more like Him, then we must love everyone,. even the UNlovable people😢

So are their genitals and tails - all without anesthesia. This is standard practice. Why? Because they all go crazy in tight confinement, and would rather chew themselves or others to death.

@behind you Pigs are very smart and protective of their families. If somebody would hunt your family or simply come to your house/land and sometimes harass your family, you may want to put a big hole in that person's stomach too, wouldn't you?

Yeah I really want a pig one day, but aside from my HOA not allowing it obviously, I would need yard space for the fella. Pigs aren't like cats, they need space to roam and play. Keeping a pig in an apartment just isn't right...

They dont need a ton of room but they need a place to root. My pig roots for hours on end. I have a small yard which is plenty for richard. But aside from his rooting, he does get to go for daily walks too.

They are not convenient for a pet . They'll grow up to be 3-400 pounds , and they'll eat so much, your paycheck will go to feed it ! Also they make a large amount of manure . So you can't keep it in your one bedroom apartment. When I was growing up in Hungary , we always had a pig or two . They were cut down just before Xmas every year. My dad would make smoked sausage and smoked ham . The meat was put in the freezer, the lard was collected, my mom used to cook with it . We also had bacon and eggs for breakfast every Saturday, and schnitzel with fries on most Sundays! The pigs were essential to supplement our diet......what can I say , we eat the pig from head to toe. No part of it went to waist

C E it is, but it’s not necessary for most developed countries. We’re in a place where we can make more conscious decisions in our daily lives in how we want our systems to operate. Some places in the world don’t have access to bounties of food and I completely understand why they eat meat, but a lot of places are able to eat healthy and plant based without having to harm animals. Our infrastructure and overcrowding has already made a major toll on our ecosystems. Eating meat just makes it worse. Plus I’d rather safe a life than eat meat. I’m a great cook, so I don’t miss it at all :)
