Spending time with a friend sharing the love of a craft is so fun! Your yarn purchases are beautiful, and I look forward to seeing them come to life in a project. Thank you for taking us along.
Thanks Sandra for taking us to Unravel, lovely to see Sam. Jane from The Cornish Knitter RU-vid channel is involved in the Raw Wool Company, Jane is in Falmouth Cornwall and talks about the company often in her videos. Beautiful Haul, looking forward to seeing your projects and to see what you decided to go with. ❤🇦🇺 Maree.
So happy that you two were able to get together. I love all of the yarns that you got. I would love it if I had a friend that knitted or crocheted to hang out with. Was fun seeing all the different yarns. Take care and can't wait to see you again.❤
Hi Sandra. I still had to go back and finish watching your last podcast and then this one came up. Thanks for taking us along to the yarn festival. I was just telling a Dutch podcaster that I don't go to them here. They are very expensive to get in and extremely busy. I am becoming more and more introvert as I get older and just don't like being in crowds. However, I would have attacked The Raw Wool company full on and bought tons. I love yarns like that!! I had an advent from a local (to me) lady who also sources, spins and plant dyes all her yarn. They are amazing. It made a gorgeous blanket. Might cost more but it was worth it. I have ordered her advent again this year which I am so excited about. I can't wait to see your projects made from these beautiful yarns!! 🧶
Oh how fun!!! That's a dream of mine - to go to a big yarn festival with a bestie. 🥰🥰🥰 The vendors all looked amazing and your new goodies are gorgeous! Can't wait to see what you make! 🥰
That's how it always is. You start with a plan, a budget, and self-control, then something luscious tempts you and all your good intentions are abandoned 😂 Your purchases are lovely!
What a fantastic yarn haul! And they all look amazing together in a bundle. I think the Travellers shell would be a great choice for your raw wool as it is a layering piece, so if there is some roughness to it, that would be ok. Also the style of it suits the rustic yarn!
Beautiful yarns and what fun to go to a yarn festival! Im a beginner crocheter and don't fully understand yet what yarns can be mixed in a project… 😁but I loved the dark brown and rose together! They are just stunning together I thought. Im plugging along on my battenburg blanket 😁
Thanks for showing us unravel, I didnt get there this time around, but like the autumn one as it is quieter! Your projects and mindful buying deserve kudos to you too! Lovely choices. ❤
Yarn festivals look like fun! I've been wanting some of that beautiful undyed dark brown wool for the Owl Post Pullover by Joan Forgione for a while but now I don't think I can make it. Last week when I was getting my wool out for a project it was completely eaten up. So were all my wool knitted items. I don't have moths so I think it was maybe silverfish.
Lovely to see Sam in your video. I used to follow her when she was active on RU-vid and I occassionally think of her and wonder what she is busy creating.
Gorgeous yarn, i love your colour choices. There is a gorgeous yarn shop in Falmouth called Stitches and Cream , Jane, the co owner works with the Raw Wool Company and has a pod cast too.
Hi thank you, as someone has mentioned already Jane from Stitches and Cream in Falmouth is involved in the Raw Wool Company, and her shop is gorgeous, if you get a chance to visit. x
I enjoyed that. I do love sheepy wool and look forward to seeing what you make with that lovely haul. Have you watched the podcast by The Cornish Knitter? She has a shop in Falmouth. She’s very interesting to listen to, and I believe she has some connection with the Raw Wool Company.
