Mini Review: Sunshower by xKami 

omg thank you, it was much more positive than i thought it would be haha yeah, i can see where you’re coming from in terms of the “taking too much inspiration”, and i get it - it is kinda a downfall of the level the gameplay is… i guess not the best part of it, but i really like it. H blocks - totally understand. while making the gameplay, i was aiming to make it feel natural with the song, and sync in most parts. hope that came across what i’m sad about is that this level had a “story”, but it doesn’t come across, since it’s not that well replicated. the level is supposed to represent you getting a sunstroke, first part being dark, then suddenly being bright. after that you see those white flashy lights - that’s sun taking a toll on you. the blue part is you trying to cool down with water. last cube before the predrop - you see those lblack circles - that’s “mirages”. predrop features a kinda psychedelic background - your state doesn’t get better. and then the drop is very much you, well, getting a sunstroke, with flashy blocks and stuff. i must admit, when you have a description THAT long for a story - you know you didn’t do it correct. but oh well i’m really proud of this level in a sense that i had a vision, and i executed it to a moderate success. thank you for a review, very constructive and helpful 🎉🎉🎉

Finally the content I've been waiting for. Level review is probably my favorite genre of gd videos, want to see more of this in the future.

the gameplay looks pretty fun and sightreadable too, which is what a lot of people say should be more important than deco or something

To describe this level, it's rough around the edges but not the good kind, looking at the level and how it plays has the same feel as looking at a really rusty and old vehicle running, though the usage of colors really does it make it a little worthwhile with creative uses of blending and palletes in the structures, like looking through a shiny and clear piece of glass. Though the jaggedness of the level really does hinder it down and it's potential for me a lot, it's honestly a hit or miss for levels like these.
