In today’s video I share with you my first ever use of my new mini rice cooker. Let’s try not to set the car on fire and make some tasty spicy noodles! 😃 #miniricecooker #cookinginmycar #carlife
Nice the small Jackery worked like a 🏆 Champ. Cleaning it: get a MINI SPRAY BOTTLE from Dollar General or Dollar Tree, and while you're there buy a small bottle of WHITE VINEGAR. Fill the bottle with 1/2 Cup water and 2 table spoons of White Vinegar. Spray inside the cooking bowl (not the inside heating element). Repeat on the outside. Done! Doing this saves your Baby Wipes for "other uses". And White Vinegar is a non-toxic natural Cleaner that you can use on most surfaces. Do shake your Spray Bottle each time BEFORE using it. No rinsing necessary. You'll love that little Rice Cooker... so many options... meatloaf, chicken, bacon, omelets, etc. Online is loaded with recipes 😋 👌 😄.
Hey ! I’m a great grandmother with a desire for car camping. I love your videos!! You do not talk too much!! I appreciate your neatness and organization. Carry on!!!
Look at you a year ago you were trying to get to 1,000 subscribers and you're almost at 9000 you're awesome keep it up people like you and me because we're real we're not on RU-vid lying and being people are sick of that and people know the difference you're awesome you really
You knows what’s better than a rice cooker? An electric lunchbox. That’s the best thing ever. For truck drivers, car-dwellers, everybody; you just can’t go wrong with it.
✔ and especially for travel days because they seal and latch securely (sudden stops, backroad bumps). I have the RoadPro, have had if for years, still good 👍.
One thing I’d like to mention is that you don’t want to be using metal utensils inside the nonstick rice cooker bowl. It’ll chip and scratch the coating and overtime ruin the nonstick properties(and potentially be a health hazard, can’t imagine that stuff is good to leach into food). I’d only use the plastic spoon it came with.
Use white vinegar 8:37 to clean cooking and eating utensils. Cleans and disinfects. Put some in a spray bottle . Rinse with a little water and paper towel to wipe dry.
I like that little rice cooker. I use a 6 cup rice cooker in my car and it's HUGE! Lol. I HATE cooking though so I make enough for leftovers. I use paper towels and a spray bottle with water and vinegar to clean my dishes. I didn't want to injest the chemical residue left from the baby wipes on my dishes. Then again, I'm leery about eating the chemicals in processed food that is meant for consumption so my level of trust in man-made chemicals was low to begin with. Anyway, great video.
I have a different 12v cooker ( plugs right into the old cigaretter lighter ) and I absolutely love it. Made penne pasta with pepperoni and pizza sauce just a couple nights ago. This cooked it to perfection! Enjoy yours!!!!!
I am really enjoying your content. I was single for a while and once I wanted to rent out my condo and hit the road, life had other plans for me. But my plan was to do what you are doing and just travel the US. I like living thru you. Keep on keeing on and keep being such a positive vibe! God bless.
I am really enjoying watching your journey. It is refreshing to watch someone who has gained sobriety. I applaud you! I notice that you are very neat and tidy. Bravo to this too, but I am admittedly curious why you don’t have a sheet or mattress pad to cover your mattress? I recognize you have a sleeping bag! So this is just an inquiry here!I am currently watching you cook in the “red light lounge” (love that name) and holding my breath in case of a spill!!!💁♀️
Well so far so good Andrea, I suppose I could use a sheet over my mattress but I sleep in a sleeping bag so I just need it for padding really. I vacuum periodically and I have a lint roller in the car to keep things neat, and my tray is pretty sufficient in keeping it clean. All of these are good tips though
Fantastic longer form video!! Love the longer ones, Bren. Very cool my bro. Hilarious leaving the cardboard in.. we have all been there haha. Now you got me checking out low voltage rice cookers for the times when I don't want to get out of the car if it's raining or whatever to be able to cook without a flame. The rice cooker option seems like a super viable cooking option!! I love how it only used about 20% charge of your Jackery, that it doesn't make any annoying loud noises, extreme heat or heaps of steam. Very viable option. I'll have to show you what I do for ventilation in my subie for when you want some extra airflow especially around the warmer months and it becomes stuffy inside the car when you're sleeping or chilling out. Stay safe and keep up with the content. I really enjoyed this one! Nick
It’s a great little cooker, I haven’t bought any takeout since getting it. I’m finding I can stretch $30 into five meals. That gives me another good video idea. I’m getting better at cooking now
@@brenpgrace good to hear man! The dollars will definitely go further and the sense of accomplishment cooking yourself is tops. Thanks for replying! Always nice to chat. :)
So Bren, would you consider using the rice cooker to boil up a cup of water to make your own coffee, tea or hot chocolate in the morning? Seems like another novel way to use the dash cooker. I suppose it also would help you save a few bucks on Starbucks daily, but if you really enjoy your Starbucks it might not be worth it.
you know they make 12v slow cookers, and frying pans, soup pans, etc... you could cook while dashing with the slow cooker. i dont know if you have a 12v mini compressor fridge, but if you do, buy like a roast and some mini potatoes and baby carrots, cut up the roast into smaller chunks, (i think quartering it might work for the 12v slow cooker size, and then throw it in the slow cooker with a bit of water and some seasoning packets, like a pot roast packet and/or hidden valley ranch dry mix packet (again, you likely wont need the whole packet at once). you could dice up one quarter for a nice beef stew, again, with a stew packet (probably not the whole packet at once)... and cook while you drive... you have a great meal in a few hours. anything you can make with a slow cooker, you can make with the 12v one.
Hey Bren, just ordered my rice cooker with your mattress link (off the 15 things video, because no link in description here). It's used, but with the Black & Decker brand, Amazon safeguards and
It came in! So far, I've cooked oatmeal, mashed potatoes and boiled water for tea. The moment I saw that boiling water, I was so happy! Thanks for being the catalyst that finally got me to place that order. 💖
Thanks for sharing the review of the rice cooker. Nice to see that you can use it for something other than just preparing rice. Look forward to seeing another video using the cooker.
Such a big fan of you Bren, I was being totally sarcastic with you in the livestream. I hope we’re still cool. You’re legitimately one of my favorite creators by a mile. I feel like sometimes we watch people on RU-vid and we feel like we’re getting comfortable with them although we aren’t actually interacting. And so then I went to a place comedically that we haven’t actually reached together although the sensation of watching vlog style videos provides that false sense of closeness. Love you and your journey and goals and I just hope I can make it up to you.
UUelte!! I didn’t know what was going on in the livestream, I was like “What the hell did I say to piss him off so much?” 🤣. I was unaware of the joke so I misinterpreted your humor completely. We’re cool man!
Just a suggestion to consider protecting your mattress during your cooking. Possibly a flannel backed vinyl table cloth or plastic shower curtain liner cut to size. Could save your mattress if an accident happens during cooking.
Shin black bone broth in the cup is the bomb try that one and i dont add the whole orange packet in probably a tsp of it and full packet of bone broth i add a generous helping of kerry gold butter like a TBLSP yum yum. I have added very thin dried sliced seaweed and everything bagel seasoning❤❤❤ i fill it up with hot water and let it sit for about twenty minutes i dont cook it in the microwave in my camper cause well we wont go there lol so anyway bren enjoy those noodles.
All right Brian I'm new to your channel you have a black Subaru in this video and now you have a white one so I'm going to have to watch your videos and see what happened and what led you to the white one
Hello! These Korean noodles are my favourite, but they're meant to be eaten as a noodle soup! Next time, just use 500ml of water and cook them enough until the noodles are soft. Then enjoy the soft noodles and beautiful spicy broth!
Don't feel bad listen Bren I don't know if I told you this but you're my buddy now and I'm going to look out for you all I can but my friend I'm a security guard right about 5-6 years ago he introduced himself to me he didn't want me to think oh wow a black guy hanging around in the parking lot you know doing something mischievous he is the nicest man in the world he does doordash and I think and he has bad days like that every once in awhile I just it is what it is don't beat yourself up you know after holidays like you said people are broke in January and February's will start picking up again when people get their taxes back but you're awesome
New subscriber here. I absolutely love all the Dash mini products they offer. So far I have the egg cooker & mini griddle. I've used them traveling & love them. Egg cooker I've done mini omelet, scrambled & boiled eggs. And of course with boiled eggs...you can do Tuna Salad, Egg salad, etc I'm gonna get the Rice cooker next. Love your videos!!
You probably may have figured this out already but the measurements on a rice cooker cup are not the same as a regular set of measuring cups that you would use in a normal kitchen
This Subaru is a trusted car? Did you ever had any serious problem with it? I like this car but I have a fear of this because I don't know it. Thank you
