Hi Sara, I love your video and your van setup. Are you still happy with your solar setup? Any idea on what your daily Wh or Ah draw is? I'm just wondering if your 200w solar panel is big enough to keep the Bluetii EB70s charged up even with your fridge and other electrical devices?
Hi and thanks! I am still happy with it. Although I am considering getting new wider crossbars so I can have the panel and maybe a skinny cargo box on top since right now the panel takes up most of the roof. I don’t know what my daily draw is. I’ve mostly used the setup out West where it is sunny most of the time. I quickly learned that the panel wouldn’t be able to charge the power station enough to power the fridge if I was out East and it was cloudy for a day. Sometimes to conserve I turn the fridge off at night when it’s cooler anyway. I’m sure a larger panel would be better but I don’t see putting a bigger one on the van. I can always charge the fridge while I’m driving through the auxiliary power outlet. And I don’t tend to charge much else with the power station unless it’s a sunny day and topped off.
