My old handbag in 1:12.
I purchased Fimo Leather Effect and Fimo Liquid on Amazon.
Also, this is not an ADV for Fimo/Staedtler, I'm just showing the products I have used to make this project.
I hope you guys can hear me properly, I really tried to speak louder this time (and the music is at the minimum level).

Your original bag is gorgeous and your model is perfect. If you didn't mention it was a model/scale, I never would have known.

I truly hope you begin to make and upload more tutorials for diy miniatures. I’m just now getting into them and I think your videos are perfectly walked through for us. Beautiful job. Thanks so much for sharing. 😎👍🏻👍🏻🫶🏻

Very realistic texture! A tip if you want to get more of that glossy paint look is to use genesis paints instead of chalk pastels or acrylics to colour them, because those both have a dull, matte finish. Genesis paints are oil paints that set when you bake the piece at the same temperature that you bake the clay in!

Thank you. I had this feeling that Fimo Leather is not a very largely known product, so I figured it needed a bit of intro.

Your purse is great. ANY polymer clay can be rolled thin and cured, then sliced or cut and is flexible.
@CeciliaPMiniatures
@CeciliaPMiniatures 5 месяцев назад
Thanks. I only have experience with Fimo and Cernit but they're not really flexible after baking. I made this same project years ago before Fimo leather was released, the strap is as solid as rock, even if it's very thin.
@gillianwiseman3518
@gillianwiseman3518 5 месяцев назад
@@CeciliaPMiniatures How strange! Cernit should be quite flexible when properly cured. The most rigid clay is Kato - but in order Premo, Cernit and Cosclay are more and more flexible when cured. Sculpey III is quite rigid, but also fragile. I'm not experienced enough with Fimo, Pardo or any of the other brands to say, specifically.

Wow! That’s amazing! I have a ton of polymer clay but no leather effect. Now I have to go buy some of that! I DO have Cosclay, which stays flexible after it’s baked. I wonder if this could be accomplished with that clay. I’ll have to experiment. I would have to paint it though. I only have it in gray. I love your videos!
@CeciliaPMiniatures
@CeciliaPMiniatures 5 месяцев назад
Thank you! If you don't want to buy more polymer clay I think you could achieve a leather effect this way: you take a bit of aluminum foil (that type used in the kitchen) and make a ball with it, then flatten it again (trying not to break it) and you should have a foil with the right texture, "wrinkly". Then you press the foil with a rolling pin on a layer of clay and the texture from the alu foil should transfer on the clay. I did that before Fimo leather came out

What amazing videos! I have subscribed for more of these. I do my things in 1/10th scale. Much easier [for me] to do the scale conversions by dividing by 10 than 12 🙂
@CeciliaPMiniatures
@CeciliaPMiniatures 4 месяца назад
Thank you! Yes, I get that. I've always worked in 1:12 scale since the very beginning, so for me dividing by 12 is super natural now, but doing the maths in 1:10 is for sure easier and quicker.

This is wonderful and very well explained, thank you! Did you seal the bag with anything after adding the soft pastel?
@CeciliaPMiniatures
@CeciliaPMiniatures 4 месяца назад
Thank you! No, I actually didn't, but I guess I could have used the matt varnish by Fimo, a very thin layer.

I subscribed after seeing the crate of vegetables. (Do you read and write the many different languages offered in the comments?)
@CeciliaPMiniatures
@CeciliaPMiniatures 5 месяцев назад
Thank you! I really appreciate that. (I speak German which I use for work and Russian, which I studied at university, and a bit of French, but I couldn't do tutorials in those languages I'm afraid, it would feel very akward! (I'm Italian) I read some comments in Portuguese or Spanish and those I could more or less understand, because of the similarity between romance languages but I don't speak them at all).
