Im prety sure you can reduce fuel use by using the second mixture screw on the centre of the throttle arm .Its for idle and mid range setting , the main needle is set at wide open. Also the base looks like it was intended as a fuel tank but wasnt used . I may be wrong , I dont own one yet.I have the hm01 and its very well made .
Hi @MrZx9rdoug I tried what you suggested, but that screw is there to hold the throttle shaft in position, and control the 'torque' of the lever only, it isn't a fuel adjuster. As for the casting 'tank' on the base, this I think was intended to hold the battery, but it is only big enough for a single AA, which wont quite cut it :)
Nice review and video Ade. Usual MUSA obsessive quality, looks like; and a big flywheel, so you could change TDC to closer to centre for slower idle (yes, and less power). Ade, a Chinese engine based on Find Hansen's small horizontal diesel is now being produced after a few years' development. I'll do a review on my site when it arrives. Thought you might be interested :)
Hello from Keith, I also wish a great 2024 year. I am pretty interested with this engine. Where can you purchase the fuel operated engine. I assume you just put it together. So I will look forward about your answers.
Very nice engine,Ade👌It reminds me of the old Villiers 4 stroke utility engines, although they were side valve units ....is this all leading up to you building some of your own internal combustion engines from drawings/castings?
Hi Howard, thank you for your comment. And yes, I would like to build some of my own IC engines in the future, so these models are guiding me into understanding what can and can't be done. I'm also looking to doing some stirling engines soon. Kind Regards, Ade
@@AdeSwash As long as you're still above the ground stomping on the daisies. Been a while since you put out a video, I was getting worried you had had a mishap in the shed.
@@dfross87 Thanks for your concern, I am still above ground, but up to my neck in work and shed projects, I will have a new video out soon, a WigWag V8 engine, and many more to come, it is just finding the time between work, home, family etc to get in the shed or to edit footage together. But I will be back! Regards. Ade
