@@olagerta8199 The next video will hopefully give you some ideas! I'm very excited for this, it's not a look I normally do, but I wanted to change it up a bit.
Big yay :) Vests are also great. You can put them over sweaters or under jackets for extra layering possibilities-from both a style and a warmth perspective!
It's a yea from me in northern Canada! I believe the humble petticoat is super underrated - in winter especially, layering skirts can add a tonne of warmth.
It’s so nice seeing someone do a capsule wardrobe with colors suited to winter coloring. So many videos are all earth toned neutrals which do nothing for me. I’m a deep winter and finding clothes other than, black, gray, navy and white is near to impossible as most clothes these days are warmed toned.
Ugh I feel you girl, warm toned muted colors are very trendy right now. But they are out there! I keep my eyes open and I find more and more every day!
Just about a month ago I found out that I’m a winter (after thinking I was an autumn for years!) And I feel you. There’s a little bit of electric blue in different stores at the moment, but that’s about it. Other than black and navy it’s difficult to find out colours. Everything is earthy! Even white! I keep finding cream and off whites, where is plain bright bleach white man?!! 😅
Listening to you talk about colors and how they brighten your mood totally transfers to me! I couldn't stop smiling. As a fellow winter, love your choices and can't wait for the outfit styling video!
Yay for color! Fernanda's response to color is the same as mine. It's why I just can't catch onto other capsule suggestions - they lack color and I NEED color in my life.
Kerina Wang has a lot of great tips for wearing skirts in the winter. What I do is wear fleece lined tights under a skirt. You can even layer them under regular tights
I think getting your colours done was the best thing for you. Your new colours just light up your face and make you look great. That dress is beautiful and really suits your colour. As for fleece lined tights, I was going to mention it that it’s the best thing for winter. I live in England and it can get very cold (although I know there are colder places) mostly in January and February and I only have skirts and dresses for winter (as well as a pair of jeans for milder days) which I wear with fleece lined tights.
I never liked to wear navy because my work life is navy ( nurse) but it’s such a good color on me I’ve decided to use navy as my black. It goes so well with so many other colors : red, burgundy, purple, green
I love this winter coloring in your capsule! I'm a winter too and loved every piece! The dress is a showstopper. I can totally see it with sneakers in the springtime. Thanks for the wardrobe board in other seasonal colors, that was very kind of you! I can't wait for the outfits video next week!
😃😃 I'm so glad you like it! Isn't the board cool? I did the same thing that I would make for a client, but for this capsule. Next week I'll add all off the outfits! 🤫 Eventually I'll be able to open up my OpenWardrobe!
Seasonal analysis really seems to work for you well!! :) love your choices. Seasons never really worked for me because my colouring is so neutral. What did help is looking at how cool/warm, bright/muted, light/dark my natural complexion is and translate that into my wardrobe. So I don’t really 100% fall into any season but I know I need medium warmth (leaning a little cool in winter), muted (dusty), and medium dark. I’m medium on everything!! That’s why the seasons drove me up the wall haha . Your winter palette looks lovely on you! Xx
Love. Love ,love the capsule. I am a winter too and most of capsule wardrobes are shown in spring and fall colors which doesn't work. I have started using Open wardrobe for the benefits you mention. However I can't find any tips online as to how to resize photos, delete unneeded items, or have the app suggest new outfits. Do you have suggestions?
I can’t be bothered trying to tuck a dress in to wear as a top, however thin and light it might be. Plus, mine are longer, I don’t think I have any that I actually could tuck in. I don’t see anything wrong with having a black turtleneck top and a similar dress, as long as you don’t have multiples of each, no big deal.
loving that you are jumping into color more. Color is so mood lifting and I think it helps draw people in to you and make you more memorable when you have interactions or meetings with them. In growing your style business, I think it's imperative that you show up in colorful clothes that suit you as I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of black, gray and white in people's closets, lol. I honestly think that navy is almost more versatile than black in many ways, at least for myself.
Love all these jewel colours on you. Love the blue skirt and the gorgeous new dress. Those long boots are fab too! Can’t wait to see the outfit combos next time. 😊
Hi Fernanda! First of all, congratulations on you 10k+ subscribers. You put a lot of effort into your videos and always give quality content. Thank you for that! Now, I would like to know what are your favorite fleece lined tights. Thanks and Happy New Year!
I can really see how the colour analysis has influenced your capsule and how it feels more cohesive. I’m got my House of Colour appointment booked for the new year. Love the new dress!
What a great video! I am a winter too but I had gotten away from my colours and into neutrals but I realize that I hate beige! Love your fuchsia turtleneck and dress. I love them both. And those Blondo boots are fabulous! Can’t wait to see the outfit video next week. Thanks from Montreal! 💚💚💚
I love the Capsule Wardrobe and the Outfits video with passion!!! LOL. Also when you said you didn’t see the top with the lovely blue skirt I replied “Yes it does!!”. Guess we will see next week! Gracias Fernanda for great content!!
I'm a winter and your capsule is the some colour palette as mine 😆 I do love navy but don't wear it a lot in my everday wardrobe as my uniform is navy. The fushia jumper is gorgeous Fernanda 😍 I can see your pure joy and excitement with this capsule. Ohh and those boots are just amazing. Can't wait to see your look book video 😃 💞
The majority of people in the world are different kinds of the winter type. Nevertheless it is difficult to find a fuchsia or a deep purple item in stores!!!!
It is really nice capsule! I envy you that you're a winter. I'm a soft summer but sometimes I take colors from a true summer and winter colors - especially blues like your skirt. I 'm your huge fan. Greethings from Poland
In the beginning I had envy of other colors too, but the more I embrace mine the more I love them. I think what you're doing is a great idea, borrow colors of other seasons! It doesn't mean that we can only wear those colors, just that we keep those near our face. For me, it. makes a big difference. :)
@@vazq_Fernanda Correctly, I don't wear colors out of my palette close to my face - exception is electric blue and other blues because I love this color in every edition 💙
Hi Fernanda, I discovered your channel about a week ago through your video on colour analysis and I absolutely love your videos! You are so fun and personable and you make dressing better so easy! I also did a colour analysis about a month ago and can really relate how excited you are about it! I found out I’m a deep autumn. Knowing that really takes so much guesswork out of dressing and shopping, the right colours just look harmonious on me and I’m not even trying or making any effort!! I’ve watched your videos on building a capsule and have taken first steps. Other videos often made me think like I had to buy more things to start a good capsule. With your approach I realised how much I already have that I can use. I also realised some repeated purchasing mistakes and why I wasn’t wearing items (wrong sizing/colour for example.) Keep up the great work, I am really loving your channel. Your work is so appreciated and will keep on watching. (I have also subscribed to your email list :)) Best wishes, Janna
Thank you for the mood board for other seasons. Its giving me major inspiration! Also, love these video's. Looking forward to creating my own wardrobe :)
YES! THANK YOU FOR LINKING THE CLOTHES! I saw you wear the first green top in another video and I was IN LOVE! Do you mind me asking what size you wear or at least if the shirt is true to size?
I always love your capsules, but this one was so perfectly tailored to your personality, and the colours worked so beautifully for you and with each other! Chef's kiss! also; I agree on the flared/cropped jeans comments. I love flared, I love al things cropped, but the combination?so tricky! I don't think that's a trend we're going to remember fondly. Hope you find a pair that fits you well! :)
My apartment's (I'm moving!) Dryer ate our clothing and I have to get a new wardrobe and this video helps. I'm basque and it's been difficult to find foundation that matches my skin color! Care to tell me your match because I'm the same. Ty 💋
Hi Fernanda, I'm also a dark winter and i'm trying to curate a capsule wardrobe but it is difficult as I really overthink things. How many neutrals, complemenary and accent colours do you usually use?
Great video. I really love the leopard print top! I've been wanting to add a leopard print top like that to my wardrobe, so I'm looking forward to seeing how you wear it in the outfits video!
I agree that navy is much better on you than black, you look great in it. I know this is your winter wardrobe, so the colors are darker, but don’t forget the lighter colors in your palette when buying for spring. I think a true white might be your best color, along with any of the “Winter Palette” icy pastels, especially the blues and greens. PS, a all-gray outfit can be elegant, try it with your pieces. Adding a white (or other cool, light color) and gray scarf would be great, too.
I love the wardrobe! My HOC analysis is winter also but I live in Florida so I am DYING to see what you put together for spring! I was devastated when I found out I was a winter but the jewel tones are really growing on me and you put together some nice combos.
I'm a "winter", living in the Caribbean. My tops are often optic white, cobalt blue, cerulean blue, Aegean blue, fire engine red, ruby red, racing green, emerald green, bright rose, deep fuchsia, and softened magenta. Most of my bottoms are navy, black, cool gray, white, and light buff. Making a warm-weather capsule out of the brightened winter colors is very easy!
I’m a winter, and I completely converted my wardrobe from black to navy and chocolate (as my base colors) years ago, using navy and cream in the spring/summer season. So glad to see you’re stepping out from what everyone else seems to be doing on RU-vid ~ it’s refreshing, more interesting, and brave!
This was a very inspiring video. I really like the midi skirt. 🥰 I love to wear woolen dresses in the winter, but they don't always go well with my winter jackets and coats.
Hi dear love your capsule wardrobe I'm in the southern hemisphere so its summer here by us ,so I'm busy curating my summer wardrobe.Since watching your colour analysis video I realized I'm actually a deep autumn and warm colours suit me well but warm muted colors is especially beautiful on me,so just want to thank you for your help on that significant video you are a star 🌟, lots of love from South Africa 🇿🇦
Excited about Open Wardrobe, downloaded it after it was promoted by Emily Wheatley and was delighted to see your face on all the explanatory videos. Was reminded of your channel so checked out this video. Aah, the chains of social media partnerships :-) Those colours look fantastic on you, one day I'll get mine done too.
Awesome! I love Emily's videos too! And Open Wardobe - I use it regularly and I love having my closet digitized! Highly recommend getting your colors done, it has been life-changing for me!
Thank you so much for introducing the availability of Open Wardrobe. It has been such a game changer to help me edit and make more thoughtful choices . It has helped me to organize and let go of what does not fit my style . I used to struggle with letting me let go of clothes that weren’t working. I’m a visual person so concept helped so much . I subscribed to your channel and have been totally obsessed with this app.
I don't normally include outerwear in the winter capsules because, like underwear, it's not an option as to whether I will wear it or not. I HAVE to wear it, and I only own two. There's a person in my life who LOVED that peplum black sweater, so I didn't include it because I'm going to gift it to them if it fits them. :)
