I never understand why DF would continuously upgrade the pipe over and over again before the tank or carriage, resulting to 99% of oil spillage that happen to him.

Also pretty sure by clicking on the calendar, you can end the season early if you believe you've collected all gas, oil, and artifacts. or just whenever. But gives you extra money for finishing the season early.

DF 2 tips. Instead of selling oil at low prices to prevent overflow. Get a loan to make you tanks bigger. Also for your gas pockets. Pipe magma to them and use the magma to grow the gas pockets.

you can upgrade your oil rig for "shut off valve" or something like that, that allows you to stop the pump flow

If you spend a ton of money on land you can withdraw early for a portion of the money back. Also I would love to see you just borrow a ton of money from the bank mid level. Both options are the money tally/button in the middle.

I love how despite other games where DangerouslyFunny learns with repeated videos here he doesn't learn not to pump out too much in the beginning and spill oil. He even mentioned that he thought it was bad partway through, but then did it again later losing him 10's of thousands of dollars.

Just in case no one has suggested it: you can take out a loan for start up money. If I remember correctly, you click on the money counter. You can get benefits to drop the interest rate. I've found it helpful to layout my field with silos on either end and drills spaced between. I try to fit as much as I possibly can. The start up money helps me with a good foundation.

You get another $1000 bonus plus whatever is left on your lease for ending early. You can do this by clicking the money counter and clicking "withdraw lease" then "stop level" instead of waiting until the end

tip! if you think you've depleted all oil before december you can stop the level for an early withdrawal bonus :)

if you branch off from the bottom of the pump you don't get bottle necked, and you pump stupid fast. Huge pockets put two branches from the bottom of the pump, and it will drain as if you have 2 pumps working on it.

you can still have multiple times for one oil tower, splitting up the oil flow and thus speeding the process of pumping out of multiple pockets, much faster

Two things--one, you need to use the hotkeys agressively. Two, when you have pipes chained together, or branching pipes, remember--the flow is capped by the pipe at the end, so there's no point upgrading every pipe! Upgrade the ones closest to the tower, and then judge whether or not you need to upgrade more by whether or not there are gaps in the oil flow! Gaps mean that pipe isn't running at full capacity, either because the outer pipes aren't pumping enough(for the inner pipes) or because the inner pipes are at capacity(for the outer pipes).

You can connect multiple pipes to the oil right node to increase extraction speed

DF you know when you get all the oil or feel like you have anyway, you can get a bonus for ending level early. You don't have to wait till Dec

I’ve been thinking this for a few of these videos now. Can you not shut the valves on the oil pump? If a tower is about to overflow you can turn the valve off right below it and that’ll stop it from overflowing.

the reason you couldn't get the oil out of the ground quick enough is the fact that you would upgrade the pipes leading to the drill, but not the ones between the pockets. for example, at 17:30 you have a thick pipe leading into the drill but a single narrow pipe leading to the thicker one, effectively wasting the power of the thick pipe.

Hey DF, I think there's an option to end the match before the end of the year instead of patiently waiting. You also get a bonus the earlier you leave the ground.

Hey DF do you know if you hit the date it will open a menu, and if you withdraw early you get a bonus? I dont know much about this game but I have watched a few playthroughs before.

DF your pump only pumps as fast as the smallest pipe just like a chain is only as strong as its weakest link so you want to have all your pipes be the same level to have maximum efficiency

If you finish selling before the start of December, you can 'end early' from the menu, and get another money bonus for finishing fast. (Don't think it scales at all, it's just as long as you end before Dec 1 you get the flat bonus)

if u ever mess up use alt+f4 to force close the game and can do better and not spill more then you need also note i think the game save at wen someone (you or npc)win the %of share place(idk if this hole thing has been patched) (edit:can someone test this out)

Yes I needed this game it's amazing

I usually just take out a huge loan in the beginning.....never use the mole nor dousers, just straight scan 3 main pockets. I then do a big silo in the middle of 2 rigs, use a drop down and interconnector so both rigs have a chance of pulling from the same main "bus line"....then drop off the main bus to whatever pockets available. When you're able to upgrade to 2 or 3 pipes from the same rig, you can do more drop lines into the main bus. If prices aren't fair, silo the outsides. When you get used to it, you can do a 20k loan and rake in about 100k easy.

Try closing the pipes if it looks like it would spill, maybe that would prevent all the spillage

Ok so DF here are some tips you will get oil out of the ground quicker if the pipes aren't doing the sputtering thing at 17:53 in order to fix that just upgrade all of the pipes to the same level as the first pipe that comes out of the oil rig and always start on the biggest oil node if you can see it first no matter what and its best to start with 2 horses and 2 Dowsers/stick pokers and one oil rig unless there are two big oil nodes or small oil nodes far away from each other but other than that you're doing just fine not that you will see this comment or even care I'm just trying to help you out in the long run and I love that you are actually trying in this game unlike the other games you've played don't get me wrong I love when you don't pay attention to it's just a cool change of pace to see you care but anyway keep up the amazing work it always makes my day 10000000x better when I see your uploads in my subscriptions thank you dangerouslyfunny for everything have a good rest of the night/day

The biggest thing that bugs me watching DF is watching him not use hot keys or using the scroll wheel for the horses! It makes it so much easier and faster to do everything!

End the year early instead of fast forwarding!!! You get a decently good payout for ending earlier!

19:50 realised that one of the bigs one wasnt getting oil

instead of waiting for the year to end you can end early for a bonus

DF heres a few tips usually i put down 2 dowsers on each side and 2 horses on each side then do a scan for about 500 dollarydoos allso 1 horse with upgraded wagons stops spilling and if you do need to spam horses just spam W and click allso you can use the scroll wheel to get horses on left/right inc get to learn the hotkeys it saves a lot of time :D edit: oh and allso do what recoil gaming said for gods sake just use magma and stuff with gas you have to connect magma to gas and close the pipe ON the gas make sure you allso put a point right before the gas but if you close that 1 point before the gas the magma wont reach the actual gas so only close the little bit after you're done growing the oil allso i think you have it upgraded to converting oil into gas aswell but im not sure

It really amazes me that DF hasn’t realized he can pay to have a stable/decent left or right side price. Ie you can pay left inc to never go below 0.90$ for instance

You know you don't have to send ALL the horses to sell. You could leave 2 or 3 behind, i.e don't max out the sell counter and the remaining horses will fill up silos.
