Beautiful area! I was up there a couple of times with my brother and his in-laws at the Dave Carter ranch near Cherry Creek about 20 years ago. They had a rock quarry and a old gold processing plant on their property with some huge shaker tables. Very cool place!
Loads of great info fam. I wish I was there. I would have loved to learn more and put in that work. I could mine everyday. That's my happy place 😁. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
What is the land scape , is the pay in river rock or serface gold , that's the key hear if it's surface rock. In a desert you need dry washes for that kinda material . My idea is a dry wash that turns into the water sluice . Now if your pay is sitting in river gravel that's not pay .
Ok, just got done watching "Beyond Skinwalker Ranch". Love seeing you on there. I'm a firm believer Aliens. The Universe is endless and endless possibilities. The TV show including Skinwalker Ranch are entertainment and not so much "real" fact finding. They drag it out so much. There is equipment as you know that can get the job done. A "sonic drill" would be ideal for the areas (especially the meadow) and commercial boring machines. Under the Mesa and Mount Wilson are the results of years of mining. Anyway, they need to keep you digging and I hope they do. It is not unusual that Bigelow would fill the hole with old equipment prior to selling the Ranch. Very interesting to see what all is in it though.
Some folks where never meant to be Miners and obviously these folks weren't. You probably mentioned to the folks that they are better off with a trommel and why they haven't switched. Thanks for sharing.
Great video Jerry. This makes me wonder if the owner of this company has ever watched one episode of the earlier seasons of Gold Rush before? They constantly run into issues with not finding enough gold to make it worthwhile breaking ground, equipment failures and employee issues. I'm glad you are there to help them out and hope they will heed your sound advice.
Always blows my mind how people go through all the steps of getting a mining operation going while seemingly making an active effort to use some weird type of equipment that is different than what has been proven most successful. I could understand in the 90s and maybe even the early 2000s, but now we have the internet and the world is connected and there are many seasons of multiple companies showcasing what a successful operation looks like. They dont even have the black balls to protect the water resevior evaporation. If you arent constantly trying to improve yourself and your work than you are just waiting to become outdated and fall behind. Good luck to anyone thinking thats going to play out well for them in the end
I was looking to get experience and help with a small operation. I run small hobby trommels. 65 years old and retired. I will track down your FB page and message you from there. Thanks for the video.
